Hello,

I am sure you guys don’t need any help coming up with ideas, but I listened to a midstakes living podcast the other night…I think with Ben Hayles, might be wrong…I’m painting our new log cabin in the garden the last few months so I am listening to one pod after another!

Anyway in one of the things someone mentioned that as a coach he had put up a timetable of hours he (and his co-coaches)  were available in the week and people came along and booked slots. There ws no need for any contact prior to the pre-booked session.

I have had coaching before and I know an off-putting thing can be the idea of pre-block booking 4 hours in advance or whatever. And its a big chunk out of the roll.

Is there no way your interested coaches could set up a similar system? I’m sure it would get lots of interest…

Just a thought.

Yeah, I think that system would be ideal, but of course would be up to each individual coach.  I guess what could make it tough is the sort of “impromptu” lifestyle of poker players.  but in a perfect world, I dig it!

Sure…I don’t know how centralised TPE is with their pros and coaching.

I cannot imagine a single weeks table would be so hard to fill with so many coaches floating about. 

It is just from a student’s point of view, I can imagine me having a great night and immediately committing myself to a sesh or 2.

(There again, I can imagine myself having a bad following night and wishing I’d not committed the $$$ from my roll!).
