Hi,

the chat function has become popular again but is really unstable. It can be a total pain at times some problems are:-

1) when people sign in they can be given the wrong user name

2) User dont show up in the user list

3) it can drop you out without saying so

4) doesnt except the test you type in

 

and many other irritations

This is a great community that positively rails other members through the chat on the site, please can we get a more stable and reliable platform or Skype will take over completely.

Hey Turbulence.  Thanks for bringing this to our attention.  We weren't aware of any problems with chat.  I'm trying to debug what could be causing it.  Could anyone else who may be having problems give us an idea what they have experienced?

We have a new forum in the works and if this is a problem we'll look at new chat too.
