Hello TPE members

I have a suggestion or two for you guys.

#1. Please keep the number of TPE pros that provide coaching small (ideally, don’t add anyone else for quite some time so we all get the chance to get to know the PROs here first). I find this gives us members the feeling of a more close knit, intimate poker community. I have been on other training sites where PRO after PRO keeps getting added to the roster and over time the list of pros builds up and it just becomes less ‘personal’ and more about how many PRO’s the site can boast.

#2. LOVE LOVE LOVE the TPE-Theory videos. This is something I have not seen on any other site and I love how its sort of modular based. Take a poker topic and elaborate on it with a video. Fantastic. Can’t wait to see some more of these.

#3. Based on #2. You guys could create a new sticky thread called “TPE Theory Suggestions” where us members could all request the types of Theory concpets we would like to see. You could take the 4 or 5 most popular, put up a Poll and allow us all to vote. At the end of the week the topic that has the highest votes wins. A video of the week kinda thing.

#4. Based on #2 again – I would personally LOVE to see a “ Hand Reading / Putting opponents on hands” video where BigDog or another TPE Pro explains HOW they come to the determinations they do, HOW they use LOGIC and DEDUCTIVE REASONING to put players on hands / ranges of hands. To me this is the absolute WORST part of my game and it all comes down to POST FLOP PLAY. Perhaps POST FLOP PLAY / How to Outplay your Opponents would be a better title / topic. That would be dreamy lol

#5. I personally really enjoy the LIVE SWEAT videos. I have seen SOOOO MANY hand replayer videos over the past few years it is REFRESHING to see and hear the PRO’s thought processes IN REAL TIME. I understand the ureason for using a hand replayer and its advantages but if we could have a nice mix of LIVE and REPLAYER videos that would make me one happy camper 🙂

just a few thoughts. I have many but i’ll try and spare you guys for now lol

keep up the great work on the site. I am so so excited to be involved with TPE Laugh

thanks for the suggestions. those are some good ones.

we have a thread somewhere for suggestions for theory videos. my only problem with a “video of the week” type of thing is that these videos take quite a bit of time to make. depending on how common the situation is, and the volume the instructor is playing, compiling the hands necessary can take weeks.

but i’m glad you like them. when making the site i really wanted these “theory” videos to be the heart of our content. when done well, these types of videos are imo the absolute best way to learn a concept.

we’ll definitely have a solid mix of live sweats and replayer videos. bigdog absolutely crushes live sweat vids so i don’t think we’ll have a shortage.

anyway, thanks again. please feel free to use the forum/PMs to get us any and all feedback, we appreciate it.
