Guys,

Please do not attempt to talk or send/transfer any monies to this guy. His ID is “ALLAUSTRALIA” and sadly, he's a TPE member. His TPE id is FLUSHNINJA. I just got scammed by him for 100 dollars. Stupid me, but one player (me) is enough.

Can you provide more info… how were you scammed? Was it just a simple trusting transfer that was ignored?

his message on skype was: I want to help out all american players withdraw money off UB

1. So, I sent him 50 on UB to see if he was able to withdraw money from his account. he is from australia

2. End of coversation, he came back online next day (today, April 16th), said the withdraw didnt go through

3. he then claimed he needed to transfer on cash or hu sng table bc his transferred were disabled. I said okay “u bring the 50 i sent ya” we went to a hu sng table

4. we discussed how we'll proceed. In the back of my mind I was like this is weird, he wanted me to call his raise, then he bet riv as we agreed he will fold to my reraise all in on the river. He asked for my hole cards which I told him (for shits and giggles at the time..) he snapped off won the pot and the game, then about 2 seconds later he logged off skype. I havent seen him since. Left a msg on his skype no response as of yet.

flushninja, come on chat bro! i'm sure you can come up with some more of that i want to help USA players withdraw bs. I gotta hand it to you mate, great timing and very elaborate imo.

I dont care that much about the $100, its more about the fact that he was on TPE chat when we were being notified of the poker rooms shutdown for US players that he pulled off this business just adds more stress on top of stress.

Pretty sure he asked for a transfer in chat before the PS/FT/AP scandal aswel so looks like he has used this as a new incentive to scam people.

I must admit, I half laughed when I read this because of the 'He asked for my hole cards which I told him (for shits and giggles at the time..) he snapped off won the pot and the game.'

Its just insane that you would put yourself in this spot. I appreciate the heads up though. I hate people like this. Ive transfered with 2 TPE members before for $500 and $150 with no problems whatsoever and hearing this just puts a damper on the community. If you can provide evidence I think he should be kicked out of the TPE family.

Just my opinion

Thanks for the info.  Disappointing story.  I've only been a TPE member for ~month and have been incredibly impressed with the generosity of the community.  There is definitely a real sense of altruism amongst many of the regulars.  It astounds me that someone can take advantage of this generosity especially given the current US poker political environment.  I'm also ashamed that the alleged culprit is an Aussie.  Hopefully there has been some reason why he hasn't contacted you with a resolution. But in my humble opinion 'bad apple' members should be stricken from all TPE ties.

Although I've been unaffected by the ban in Oz, I do sympathise.  TPE should, however, still continue to proliferate as it has widespread global interest and as US citizens will not be playing online in the short-term, they can no-doubt return as sharpened players as they can now dedicate significant time to studying and honing their game! These days my poker study is heavily reliant on the active participation of members on this site.

So, good luck… wishing you a speedy resolution.
