We are pleased to announce the first Tournament Poker Edge Live Bootcamp!

The bootcamp will take place June 10th from 10 AM – 5 PM in Las Vegas, NV.  Depending on number of participants, it will either take place at the TPE house or at an off-site location.

Here is a tentative agenda of the topics to be covered:

  1.  Stack Management (how to play different stack sizes, short stack implications, common mistakes)
  2. 3 Betting (squeezing, 3 betting light, resteal/shoving)
  3. Post Flop Play (c-betting, calling c-bets, flatting, floating, board texture, hand reading)
  4. Bet Sizing (opens, 3 bet and 4 bet sizing, building a pot, barreling, setting up shoves)
  5. Closing a Tournament (Final Table Play)
  6. Live Play (difference between online and live, basic tips, things to watch for, adjustments)

Each section will be separated by a live poker activity to help demonstrate the concepts covered.

Additionally, each participant will be asked to come with a few sample hands they would like the pros to take a look at and discuss.

Lunch and drinks will be provided.  After the bootcamp, we will break so people can go out and get dinner or just get some rest.  And then we head out on the town to celebrate TTwists birthday!!!

Cost for the bootcamp is $695.

As an added bonus, all participants will have the opportunity to “sweat the pros” during an online session at the TPE house.  This will give you the opportunity to see the pros in action and ask them as many questions as you’d like!  We'll work with all participants on the date for this, but will likely be Thursday, Saturday or Sunday depending on pro and member schedules.  We want to be flexible on this since we know many of you will want to play in some tournaments while you are there and we dont want you to miss out!

If you are interested in attending, you can contact Killingbird or RonFezBuddy via PM to book your slot and arrange payment or simply email us at support@tournamentpokeredge.com

In order to make this a great learning experience we are going to limit the number of participants, so make sure you reserve your space early!

Feel free to post any questions or feedback here!

Hoping I can swing the bankroll as Friday's are usually my day off. The price is fantastic compared to other live training. Just wish my friend was not getting married two week before in Florida that is killing my savings.

Any other weekend during the wsop I am there, but that weekend I cannot.  If another date opens up, keep us posted.  Price and format seem like excellent value.

Damn since I’m still in Pittsburgh for the time being, i was hoping this would go down in AC. If we are moved to Vegas by then I’M IN!!! If I’m still here on the East Coast. Well I may have to move some vacation since I was planning on coming at the end of WSOP. Hope I can make it.

Would love to have everyone confirmed by the end of April so that we can know how many we have and prepare accordingly.

Some flexibility in that date though, but the sooner the better obviously.

As an added incentive, we are going to offer a 10% discount to anyone who signs up before the end of April.  This will allow us to better know how many people we have coming for planning purposes and will give you some spare money to spend at TTwists birthday bash!  cool

If you have already paid, I'll be sending you a 10% refund.

Last week to register at the discounted price!

Im putting together a bunch of TPE goodies for all the attendees..tshirts, stress balls, poker chips, etc

We expect it to be a smaller group as a result of the recent changes in the poker landscape…but that means even more of a hands on learning experience!

Due to the recent changes in the US poker landscape, we will no longer be able to do the optional live sweat of the TPE pros.  However, we still want to give you guys some added bonus knowledge!  smile

With that said, we would like to invite all TPE Bootcamp attendees to the TPE house on Thrusday evening, June 9th for a “Live Review” of a bigdog tournament by some of the TPE pros.  He'll record a session and then do the commentary LIVE!  Not only will you get the chance to hear Casey walk you through his thought process, but you'll get additional insight from other pros plus have the opportunity to ask questions on the spot.

June 10th will continue as planned!

June 11th we'll be venturing out to play either the WSOP $1500 or the Venetian $340 so hopefully we'll get even more time to hang that day!

Cant wait guys!

The June 9 adjenda sounds great! However that will be exactly 31 years since I gave birth to David! So, I probably won't be able to attend unless he has a “low key” celebraton. But I will definitely be there for the bootcamp!

Im in Vegas the 1st to the 9th 🙁

This blows.  I guess theres no chance in making a video of a few of the sessions since people have paid for the experience?

Looks like we currently have 6 with a couple of “probablys” that have not paid.  We'll probably cap it around 10 to make sure everyone gets plenty of focus.

Im sure some of the pros will be playing the $1500.  I personally will be playing the Venetian that day.

Hope you can make it out!

just so bootcampers are aware, here at the TPE nation we feel that drinking while playing poker is also a highly regarded skill and paramount to poker success so i have taken upon myself to handle this section of the day and will be drinking at 8am to be prepared for my role in the day anyone is welcome to join, hell i may not stop drinking from the night before who knows but this is going to be a blast. Huge lols

A crew from Canada “eh”? Where the snow is deep and booze is expensive! A couple of reasons I moved to Costa Rica…. Looking forward to lighting it up with you guys and some fellow Canucks as well as learning as much as I can about the game I have come to love….

Cheers,

D.

So we are going to move the bigdog live review session to immediately after the bootcamp so that more people cann attend.  It will make for a bit of a long day, but we really want everyone who paid to get a chance to watch Bigdog do his thing.

PM if this causes issues for anyone who has signed up.  Hopefully this will be even better.

Remember that you guys are welcome to bring some hands with you that you have played in the past if you would like to get some input from the pros on some interesting/tricky spots.

Also, bigdog has offered to grill for you guys for lunch, so you get that as a bonus!!  smile

Just wanted to take a moment to say THANKS to everyone who came out for the bootcamp.  We had a great time doing it and really enjoyed meeting all of you.  Hopefully you guys found it fun and educational!

I also wanted to thank Shirley for being on the podcast…UNFORTUNATELY the file was bad and we could not use it  🙁

Maybe another time!!

Already looking forward to the next one!

Hey guys,

I returned back to Costa Rica last night and needed to sleep most the day as I am still recovering from one hell of a hangover from Tim's brthday party Friday night! My liver hates me…

Thanks so much for the bootcamp. It was very informative for me and well worth the trip. I learned so much and am going to take it to the tables now (well, once my hangover subsides anyways). The food Big dog grilled for lunch was great along with all the rest of the feast.

You are a great bunch of guys, both the pros and the participants. It was a real pleasure to meet you, hang out, learn and party together. And you guys DO know how to party!! I hope Dave made it back to Arizona sometime Saturday.

I want to say thanks to TPE for putting on a great bootcamp!  Your hospitality and professionalism met and exceeded my expectations. It was great to meet the TPE team and members, and it reinforces my initial impression of the site- excellent quality and value in the product that you are producing.  I got a lot of value from the camp, and I think that it will have a positive impact on my game.  There is always more to learn in this game, and being on the Edge is definitely the right place to be.  I encourage any members who can take advantage of future bootcamps to do what it takes to get there- you will be glad you did.  I wish you guys the best of luck with the rest of the summer in Vegas.  Marty
