Hey guys,

You have been requesting the ability to upload your own videos for other members to view and critique.  We are about to build that out for you but I'd like some ideas for what you are looking for before setting the final requirements.

What we are going to do is give you a page to upload a video and it will create a page where other users can download to their desktop and provide comments (much like a pro video page).  Obviously this is going to be a very storage intensive capability so until we can get a sense for the amount of usage here we're going to limit to 1 video (125mb) per user as a beta phase.

I anticipate that after we launch and we get a better sense of how much this is used we'll increase that.  But to test we want to start with this limit.

Are there any other ideas you guys had around this?

Thanks,
RFB

Let me also just clarify that this is for you guys to upload your own recorded videos (like the pro videos on the site).  We are also working on a hand history replayer which I think is what you are referring to.

I like the idea or member reviews… video or HH replayer.

I think the HH replayer could be more practical from a hosting perspective. Videos will be cumbersome for uploading/downloading/storing.

As one poster said there are hh replayers out there that the person playing or someone reviewing can insert audio comments.

We're in progress on developing a replayer as well.  This is just a little bonus for you guys that want to do your own videos and get critiqued by the community.

Cam studio is free.  We use Camtasie which is not free, but is much better.  But i used CamStudio for a while and it does a pretty good job for free software.

Cool i'm interested in this also. I've dabbled in the past with screen recording in the past. If you have a mac you can download Camstudio for Mac (free for 30 days) or you can go with QuickTime X (part of snow leopard) which allows you to record your screen also.

I actually have a slightly older version of Camstuio for Windows with a serial key if anyone is interested.

I would love to screen video some of my sessions and post.  Is this feature up and running yet?

Nope, the programmer I've been working with went MIA and i've had to rehire someone else.  They promise it will be ready in 8 days.  So hopefully that happens.

Great idea.. I'm ready to be 'Weined' in public!  Could turn out to be a 'stick it to the fans' series…
