More sites have just been indicted today, including Doylesroom and Truepoker. Could Merge/Bodog/Cake be next?

I just can't imagine depositing on a poker site right now.

I saw all these ads for different sites trumpeting “US Players Welcome.”

How would anyone believe that the DOJ would shut down the biggest sites while allowing these others to operate under the same conditions that DOJ was cracking down?

No, these other sites aren't legal and they won't be immune. It's not that they aren't going to be shut down just that the DOJ hasn't got to them yet.

Any US players considering depositing should just send it to me. I'll keep half and put the other half in a simple savings account. In one year, you'll have more money.

I hope these sites shift to .ag and .eu, etc domain names outside US control and continue to allow US players and say “F” the govt.

Mr. Brunson left Doyle's Room last week, coincidence?

I took all my money off Merge after Black Friday because of the exact reasons Fabulous T. stated. I find it hard to believe they won't go after all of them prior to enacting any new online poker legislation. They have to 'clear the slate' so to speak prior to making it legal and regulated.

A site as big as Stars was able to (as they have shown) repay their US based customers and continue running on a smaller scale. But some of the smaller sites and networks may not be able to. So even non-US players could be affected (lose money) if/when these smaller sites are indicted.

Edit: This blog sums it up well IMO.. …..west-news/
