Just playing a tourney on stars ended up being cancelled due to a system problem. The whole site went down by the looks of it

I paid $3.30 entry and 250 players were due to got paid. we ended up chip chopping 369 ways and i ended up getting $22. Chip leader must be gutted, he ended up with $50 and first place was a measly 1k.

I'm guessing that was the chip equity at the time of disconnect?

Tournament #396942527 has been cancelled due to technical reasons.
 
When a tournament is cancelled before players are in the money, we refund each player their tournament fee, and then divide up the prize pool based on the following formula:
 
- 50% of the award pool distributed evenly between remaining players
- 50% of the award pool distributed proportionally according to the chip count
 
At the time of cancellation there were 369 players remaining, and your chip count was 26,648.00. Total chips in play were 6,600,000.00.
 
Prize pool to be divided equally: USD 6,600.00 / 2 = USD 3,300.00
Prize pool to be divided based on chip count: USD 6,600.00 / 2 = USD 3,300.00
 
Your share in money equally divided: USD 3,300.00 / 369 = USD 8.94
Your share based on chip count: USD 3,300.00 * (26,648.00 / 6,600,000.00) = USD 13.32
Your entry fee refunded: USD 0.30
 
Total money refunded to your account: USD 22.57
