Saw a massive thread in 2+2 where several “big names” are saying a deal is done between Pokerstars and FTP where Stars will take over all FTP debts and assets (including full payback to players).

Additionally, Shaun Deeb posted a thread that has since closed stating that not only will FTP reopen, but it will reopen and be available for US players!

Am I dreaming?

Big thread: …..p-1197424/

Shaun Deeb thread: …..s-1197578/

Seems to be A LOT Of weight behind these claims, so i’m going to be cautiously optomistic!

Would be nice to finally get my freakin $400 back from Tilt!

But the thing that really caught my eye was the claim of FTP operating in the states… maybe he just meant eventually once there are laws on the books for online poker in general.

I’d get back on it again. It was just like a sexy girl…. Great to look at, fun to fiddle with, full of lies and takes most of your cash! Always keen to climb back onto a sexy beast!

This is GREAT news for all of us with bankrolls that were sitting idle on FTP,now we can breathe a sigh of relief knowing we will more than likely get our money sometime before the end of the year.

I just wish there would have been some sort of clause that if Stars bought FTP and repaid all players owed that in good faith the U.S. goverment would then allow the Stars brand to accept U.S. players again as is in the meantime, until the sites are regulated and then Stars would have to comply with rules and regulations like everyone else once they were established. :/

Awesome news, and it seems that it will allow stars to enter the us market again when regulation comes around. Pretty smart by stars, they buy and asset and also buy the right to re enter the market in the future.

I wonder what full tilt will be, whether it will have a separate player pool or whether it will just be a skin to access the same games. I have a feeling it will be a skin because it doesn’t really make sense to run two completely separate networks but it will be interesting

From what I’m reading sounds like Pokerstars intends to run it as a separate site, adding the ability to transfer between the two…..seriously, I feel like someone slipped a blue pill in my drink I’m so pumped!

I wonder why they would do that, there’s obviously pros and cons for either
