Hello TPE Nation!
I’m sure some of you have had the same poker background in regards to experience and hope that eventually yuo can scroll to the last page of this forum and see that Im absolutely crushing it! I have played poker for 10+ years but have really started to dedicated myself to learning the game within the last two years. I have hired 2 coaches, subscribed to two different sites and also had staking for some time. That being said I am back at where I originally started (a subscription at TPE :)) and have decided on what goals I really want to achieve and how much time I need to dedicate myself towards that. I also found that in doing so its important that I use this page to discuss hands, results and overall thoughts about everything going on in my day to day. I am also lucky enough to have a twin brother who plays poker and pushes me when I need that kick up the ass.
Goal: I want to live off Poker and be known as one of the to players in the world.
How: Play consistent with good bankroll management. Play at least 10X$2.50/180 mans’s everyday.
When: On working days wake up 3 hours before work so their is ample time to play.
Rules: Stop loss will be if I lose 15 buy ins without a cash or anything. Do not play any other format except for Days off. Update this blog atleast once every couple days.
Good on luck on the tables people, speak to you shortly!

Hey all!
Things have gone okay, a couple of first and second place finishes with a number of final table finishes. I have played a total of 48 $2.50/180 man’s throughout the last 3 days while playing about 12 on my phone(at work!). I plan on always playing with Poker Tracker when I am at home but on occasion I cant help myself to shoot up a tourney at work! That being said most of my sessions will be tracked on Poker tracker and will be posted here as I would like to have credible stats

Hey TPE Nation,
The last couple of days has been under what I wanted. I have found myself playing on my phone which isn’t ideal for me beating these Turbos. I also found that in some cases because the field is so soft I start playing like a robot during these sitngos. That being said I am also watching TPE vids on the side or stuff like that when I feel this way. Need to work on just focusing on the tables and nothing else.
Videos Watched: “IGRINDTHIS” Series Part 1, 2, 3,
Review: It was interesting to watch this series as he plays much different than what I had seen with DannyN13. Danny seems to play more aggro and will shove ready to fire up another tourney, nothing wrong with that just his style. Kyle seems to slow it down a little more and play a bit tighter.
My results from November 26th to now has been a bit stagnant for my standards but I’m playing good poker which is all that matters….Don’t be results oriented lol…..right. I played an additional 20 $2.50/180 mans with a bit of a profit. Today I had a 4th place, 11th place and 14th place finish along with 2 notable times when I leading the tourney and second place crippled me with a weaker hand pf. I ran the hands through ICMizer and I had made the correct call which made it okay for me.
Results: Profit $100.27

Homework: Watched Turbo MTTs Live Sweat with DannyN13 all four parts
Results for today: Played another 10 with being up $33.46 on the day. I came 8th and 3rd with a pretty brutal loss…and than a 3 bet all in which was a mistake on my part.
I had JJ in UTG. Villain 3 bet me in MP. Short stack called off with 2bb in the SB and I 4 bet shoved, villain called. Showed 99 vs my JJ. Of course he hits a set on the flop lol. Instead of going into first with a min 6th place finish I got knocked out for 8th….
7 Day Results:
Total Profit: $117.94
Games Played: 88
Good luck all!

Started the new weekly challenge with my brother. We need to play now a minimum of 15 $2.50/180 mans daily.
Including yesterday and today I have played 30 games. I ran pretty good yesterday but unfortunately no wins which is really annoying considering how many final table finishes I have. In these 30 games below are my notables finished along with my graph:
15th, 12th, 5(x3 yesterday), 4th,3rd(x2 today)
I use ICMizer to see what ranges I should be playing short handed and so far I haven’t made many bad decision, just losing flips.
Chart demonstrates profit from November 22 2015
Good Luck all.

Hey TPE!!
The last two days have gone okay, still on the same pace as I was previously. I played almost 20 #2.50/180 man Sit n Goes within the last two days so under what I want to be playing. The biggest reason for this is because I’m not waking up early enough to play them but also because when I do play them in the evening(pacific time) these SitNGoes take way too long to fill up. Funny thing today; while working I went into a final table as chip leader when my owner of the company popped into chat. I had to sit out and assumed I would be blinded away……somehow I cam second lol. This week numbers are below:
Games played: 50
Profit: $116.80
GOOD LUCK TO ALL, JUST DONT RUN INTO ME 🙂

Update: The second week challenge has completed.
Results for week 2:
– Played 92 $2.50/180 mans
– Profit: $102.10
Cumulative total for month of December so far:
– Played total of 180 $2.50/180 mans
– Profit: $220.04
Summary and look back on week: Overall I actually feel like this second week wasn’t very good. We bumped up the volume too an extra 5 games daily but I struggled to hit that target. In Pacific time the 180 mans take about 20 minutes to fill up in the evenings so I need to wake up before work. This is easier said than done because I would need to wakeup atleast 3 hours early in order to finish a final table. I also need to leave an hour early for work as the drive is very long. I also am completed a course and take working out very serious. None of these are excuses by any means but I just need to find a way to prioritize everything and for me that comes down to getting proper sleep. My ideal day would be to wake up at 4am and play for 3 hours than go to the gym before I leave for 9am. Next week we may bump up to the 3.30 plus Rebuys or the $8.00/180 mans. Will update soon. Good luck all!!!

Navinbits: I live in Canada so I play on Pokerstars. In the mornings up until 4pm Pacific Time the $2.50/180 mans along with the $5 90 man knockouts, 3.50+R and $8.00 180/man fill up every 5 minutes. Not exactly sure what to say except I hope for your case they eventually legalize online again! Ups and downs for playing on Stars; the competition is by far way harder than the other sites like 888, PokerLoco, Full Tilt or Party Poker but you can put in a ton of volume….not that it really matter anymore because of the new 2016 VIP program on Stars. I just like the format of the site and rakeback program. What time are you playing on your sites? If I don’t wake up early enough like 6am or 7am than I cant play more than 5 180 mans within 3 hours so maybe choose to play at a more popular time.

Daily Update:
Study: Watched Kyle “I grind this” videos from last year on MTT 180 man turbos. I also played some more older Danny N13 video. If I might add both were great watches again. I also routinely will watch motivational videos, in particular by my man Eric Thomas. This guy has pushed me for years and I highly recommend watching him for a mentor or a motivator.
Games played: 20X$2.50/180 mans with a number of micro MTT and 6 $5 K.O 90 man. As I use this forum for my SitnGo 180 mans I will stick to updates just on those.
Notable finishes on day: 4th and 2nd.
Profit on Day: $85.98
Below is my updated graph from starting two weeks ago. I don’t have a second place finish on it but I have also lost a couple so I’m sure its not a huge gap.

Daily Update: Today I felt like I ran alright eve though I won 2 and second once. In the earlier times of the day I was running really bad, losing every flip towards final table. That being said my results were good and this was my best day yet.
Games Played: 33 $2.50/180 mans
Notable Finishes on Day: 1st place twice and a second place finish. I also had a couple 9th and 6th place finishes.
Profit on Day: $272.83

Good job keeping the priorities in order: sleep, exercise, work. It’s hard to fit other stuff in like poker, but if you drop one of those 3 to make time, you’re going to play worse.
Dead on! I have been actually waking up at 4am to play for 4 hours prior to work. For me I find its all about going to sleep early enough to get minimum 8 hours of sleep. Once I do that boom I’m ready to ship a couple tournaments.

Weekly Update:
AND I WIN THIS WEEKS CHALLENGE VS MY BROTHER. I’m up 2-1 within the last three weeks and things are looking pretty good as far as my profits and ROI. Below are my results from three weeks ago unitl now playing only the $2.50/180 mans.
Total Games Played: 288
Profit: $619.30 USD
I started of this week with a bang by winning two 180 mans and coming second in one day. Of course this was one of my days off. The rest of the week I found it a struggle to keep playing solid poker as I was always play after work. That being said I managed to win a couple 180 mans while working lol. Once My bankroll hits 1500USD I’m going to move to the $8.00 180 mans.

Hey man, good luck with the challenge.
One thought from my end – I don’t think tracking profit day-by-day is the best way to go. Making money doesn’t mean you played well, and losing money doesn’t mean you played badly. I think you should be tracking your EVbb/100 (or All-in Adj BB/100 on PT4) instead. That’s a much better representation of how you’re playing.

I had never thought of doing it like that, seems like a no brainer! I will look at doing that, thanks for the suggestion!

Below is what I believe to be what you had mentioned above as being my all in equity. I could be wrong, but it looks like the green line shows my actual BB won vs my net expected BB won. I would appreciate your advice on what my graph looks like vs how a good graph should look like..I hope mine looks good haha!

Daily Update, this week so far:
Games played: 59
Profit: +88.23
So far this week has started off so so. I plan on playing 20 SitNGo $2.50/180 mans daily which is going to be the most I have played yet. I started off Monday with a solid 38 played which was great, that being said I went down $80. This was pretty devastating as I had never had a losing day on my day off(bound to happen lol). I went back to the drawing board and watched some of my hands along with running through the ICMIZER trainer coach and watching more Kyle I GRDIND THIS videos. I woke up today feeling good and came 2nd twice with a 3rd place finish aswell. On the day I was $+168.
As I posted above, Ginger has mentioned that its a better idea in tracking my results with All in Adj. I take it this means the graph will show my expected results in BB vs my actual results. This way I will be able to track if I am shoving majority of the hands that are +Ev vs villains. I feel pretty good about this as most all in showdowns I am ahead.
Life Update: Finally went to the dentist after a couple of years. I didn’t think anything major needed to be done but boom I need a root canal, awesome. On the plus side I can play a little more poker tomorrow morning! Good luck all.

Update:
The last 2 weeks have been crazy! I had some personal thing come up that pushed poker to the side but now I’m back on track. That being said I cashed $400 USD and will be rebuilding my bankroll again. I dabbled in the $8.00 180 man’s last week and found the skill level to be the same as the $2.50 180 man’s. On a side note as I also work full time I am playing many of the SitNGo’s on my phone which doesn’t have Poker Tracker. I mention this because I wont be using my Poker Tracker graph as an indication of my results but more so just typing how many I played and my total profit/loss. Good luck at the tables!
