Hey everybody, new here and looking forward to improving with the training provided. I plan to play mostly live in the LA area and may play online here and there. Below are some key goals for myself:

1) – Place 1st Nov 20th at Hollywood Park casino in 12K guaranteed tourney and cash for 4K +

2) – Become a consistent winning live tournament player in the LA area.

3) – Continue to improve my game and build a bankroll up to 20K + by Aug 2016

4) – Eventually play in some big live tournaments and play in the main event

5) – Get my first six figure cash in a live tourney

6) – Make it to the final table at main event and have a cash of $1mm+

7)- Win a bracelet

Obviously, I know this will take years of dedication and work but I am willing to put in the effort required to reach my goals. I am a strong believer that anything is possible in life if you stay positive and dedicate yourself to your goals.

For now, I will be studying and focusing on placing 1st in the Hollywood Park tourney on Nov 20th =)

Welcome to TPE! If you’re looking for feedback on your goals, I think some of them are better than others. Winning a particular poker tournament or final tabling the main event simply aren’t things you can guarantee no matter how hard you work. It’s entirely possible for the best poker player in the world to play the ME every year for the rest of his life and never make the final table, even if he plays perfectly. There’s just too many factors beyond your control.

Here’s something I wrote a while ago about poker goals: …..uccess/.

Thanks! I appreciate the insight, although I am a strong believer in the law of attraction and the power of the subconscious mind. I think if you visualize yourself somewhere repetitively and have faith you are already there, it will manifest, just some laws of the universe =)

Happy to be here and already have some questions on some of the bigger hands from the first lesson with bigdog and kidcardiff and looking forward to getting that patch and repping tournament poker edge when I play live =)
