Hey folks, I’m a new member here at TPE and thought this would be a great place to post the goals that I have set for myself for 2016. I think it is very important to make these goals known and set something to hold myself accountable to. I am also a big fan of defining SMART objectives that will help to keep me on track towards meeting my goals. For those not familiar with the concept, it is to make your objectives Specific Measurable Achievable Relevant and Time bound.
2016 Goals
Here are my main goals for poker in 2016, they are to
Win a poker tournament for over $100,000 prior to December 31, 2016.
and
Win a live or online Main Event or Championship prior to December 31, 2016.
I have broken these goals down into some achievable objectives for myself, which I have complete control over.
- Play at least 25 online multi table tournaments per week.
- Play live poker twice per month.
- Study at least 4 hours per week (coaching, HH reviews, reading articles or books, watching videos).
- Post online about poker at least 3 times per week.
- Network with at least five new poker players to expand group discussion capacity in 2016.
- Complete the Open Yale University online course in Game Theory before December 31, 2016.
Looking forward to being a member of the TPE community! Cheers to meeting all of our goals in 2016!
