I would suggest moving some of the numbers a bit.  It really comes down to what you need out of it.  If this is your life money I totally understand the 50% profit pull.  But I would probably go with a model that puts more emphasis on the bankroll building portion than anything else.  I would probably drop the 25% on shots down to 10%.  Honestly the extra money you leave in the bankroll will have you playing regularly in those “shots” games soon enough.  I would go with something like this assuming you need the cash for life expenses.

50%profit =Bankroll

40%profit =Cashout

10%profit =Shots

End of the day it just comes down to what works best for you.  Good luck and stay outta my sng's you shark!

If my BR says that I am safe to play in games up to $10, how do I figure in rebuys?

Thanks!

Hey Polarized.

Have you ever thouhgt to use number of games instead of profit results?

For example:

You play 9man SNGs and you have 14% ROI.

You have decided to cash out 1/3 of that profit.

So in $10+1 it is around $0.50.

At the end of the week you have played 200 games, so you cash out $100, no matter if you have profit or not.

For the “shots” strategy I like to play the “X” tourney every week, and the “Y” tourney every month or something (based on an article I have read in TPE).

Just some thoughts. I am stragling to make my BMP and I will be watching your tread to help me on that.

Good luck.

(P.S. Sorry for my English guys. wink)

Hi Flounder!  (great name)

I have never heard of this before….something to think about down the road I guess.  Not sure it will really work for me right at the moment only because my volume is way down and probably now be feasible for me at the moment.  I will keep you posted down the road though when my volume kicks back up.

Your English is better than most people that live here 😉

8-12 hours studying a day!!!!  Wow that's dedication!  Just a thought but maybe you should cut down the study time a bit.  For instance focus on one specific topic for 2-3 hours and really work on just that one piece of your game.  I was missing spots stealing and restealing and it was hurting me in the mid stages of tournys.  I worked just on that and now I only suck in the later stages!  I think spending time focusing on just one subject and trying to put that to work might be more beneficial than spending 8-12 hours at a time studying.  And honestly my feeling about the make up is pay it down asap.  The sooner your out of it the better.  If all of a sudden you start running bad having that over your head could make things worse.  Just some thoughts.  And by the way noticed you were looking at doing a pt3/hem study thread.  Just thought i'd throw this out there add steal% and fold to 3 bet to the hud those stats are money makers!!!!!!!

Thanks for the response!  A lot of the video time I feel comfortable with a lot of what they are doing.  A lot of it is just to make sure I am sound in all topics, solidfying concepts and/or terminology, and seeing things from different styles.

As for the steal and fold to 3 bet, I have in my hud also…and your right…..money makers for sure!

It would be great if you came over to the thread and posted just to help get it going 🙂
