2012 Goals, Hopes and Dreams

Thought i might make them puplic and see if it will help me stick to them.

Goals

1. Judge, rate and log every session i play on a scale of 1 to 10 and motivate myself not go below 7 maybe 8 by mid year (and not on how much i have won or lost like i have done in the past).

2. Take more time in my decision making, try and really think some hands thru. (I can't remember last time i hit a time bank button prob never).

3. Review at least a 2 HH a week mine or someone elses.

4. Family, Friends, Pets to come before poker at all times. (going to get the balance right this year)

5. Try and give something back, Zen/ Karma thing, like give advice when asked, stake a few players, lend a poker book etc.

Hopes and Dreams

1. Get a online score over 10k

2. FT a sunday Major

3. Get into top 30 on pocket5s Australian ranking or 500 in world ranking.

I started the year off with a bit of a flyer, 3 FT in first 3 sessions including 1 nice score in the 888 Saturday Challange, blew the HU after working stack to a 2-1 chip lead.

My first goal to Judge, Rate and Log my sessions seems to be working as it puts my head in the right place before i start playing and has stopped me from dropping my standards and concentration levels and given me a determination to keep playing well.

I managed to stick to all my goals in first 10 days and finished with 5 FT in 8 sessions (no wins) and a nice profit that i can say is directly contributed to my goals that have created a positive and determined attitude.

good luck ONE. I haven't thought about the one you had about rating your sessions, never done that one before. i also like the giving back one. I already know that you have given back via the forums and through chat so keep it up bro.

My 3rd week into year and I only managed 4 sessions for the week due to work and family commitments.

Managed 2 FT and my first outright win for the year, I also got very lucky to make the other FT as i lost a race early on the 3rd level and was left with only 1 SB, I went on a heater with my 1 SB and got it back to 20bb and I decided i would really try and concentrate and see what i could do, my luck held and 4hrs later i went to the FT 2/9 but ran out of luck and finished 7th, would have been nice to bink that one .

I have stuck to all my goals taking my time with decisions, hitting the time button now and then and not playing till i have my head right and a I wanna play well attitude.
