When this law goes into effect in a couple of weeks, what do you guys honestly think will happen to online poker? I know that online poker is never going to go away. People will keep playing even if it is illegal. But will we face jail time for playing? Or will we have problems cashing out? Do you pros consider slowing down with the online poker and hitting up more live events when this law takes effect? Thoughts?
I think the prevailing viewpoint is that not much will change for existing players with money on the sites but it will be harder to deposit. It’s not illegal to play so i wouldn’t worry about that.
Cashing out shouldn’t be a problem as there are always processors setting up to distribute funds, it might take a little longer but most don’t think it’ll be that hard to withdraw.
The 2+2 legislation forum has a lot of good stuff on this.
