the worst thing about this forum is that it is extremely expensive to create gimmicks to get my songs over the line 😀

so COME ON GUYS! disarm is pretty average, there were so many other good smashing pumpkins songs before it.

Don't get me wrong, Banquet is a sweet song, but we're talking about The Smashing Pumpkins! Maybe there are other better songs out there (Other peoples opinion) but Disarm is just such a strong, moving song. How can you not go past it?!!
You guys know what's right wink

Disarm, and ill tell you why;

I think bloc party is a fun and cool ass song. But thats all i find it to be. There is no depth to it.

Whereas, with Disarm thers is much more to it:

Musically there are MANY differnet and varying layers to the song.

Lyically the song has a message.

Vocally its not even close. Billy Corgan was made for this type of deep introspective type of vulnerable song. The vovals are reminiscent of 70's soul, 60's loung singers, and before that jazz vocalists. The vocals act as another instrumental element of the song. Something that has seemed to have been long lost since this period and maybe has a small momentum of resurgance with the rise of Adel.

[im sure with my write up you can see which is my frontrunner to win it all, as opposed to myother posts which are quite brief]

 I actually always found it to be one of the most UNDERrated pumpkins songs. Top 2 on the album for me…

Dayum Zhengix, this should be your song not mine! 😉

So with Zhengix in the long haul for Disarm, and Benny ‘obliged’ to back Everlong til the end, things are looking bright for me in this competition 😀
