Im looking to start a study group with a several members. To start off with one person each week would submit a hand history and the rest would review the play. We could start a thread here in the forums and discuss the hands of interest. I think by doing this everyones game would grow. Im mainly looking for members who play the small buy ins like myself anything under $20. We could review MTTs or the multitable SnGs. Everyone should use the universal replayer as it makes reviewing HH very simple and fast. Im looking for players who really want to step up their game and put some thought in the review, anyone and everyone is welcome to get involved. I will coordinate it and keep it as simple as possible, I dont care if its just one person who would like to do it or 20.
If interested post in this thread. Late Sunday night I will PM some details and we can get it rolling

I’m in. I’m not playing much yet…been away from the tables for over a year so spending most of my time re-learning all the concepts. I do play under the $10 mark MTT and Muti-table SNG’s here and there for now.
So for now would definitley be happy to participate in anayzing/discussing hand histories. Soon as I start putting in some time can also submit to having mine put up (probably start playing again next couple weeks).
Cheers.
Ok its sounding like we will have several people who want to participate. I will get up with RFB about a way for us to upload a HH each week that will be easy for D/L through the site. Then we can just simply start a thread each week to discuss the history. I will send more info out Sunday to those who have posted here and again all are welcomed
Thanks RFB and TPE for helping out….quality folks no doubt
The study group concept is about to kick off, I’ve been talking with RFB about the details of how the TPE guys will be making it easier for us to do everything in house. No outside file uploads or anything which is awesome. Look for an email soon so the details can be explained along with an order of submitting HH. Again all is welcomed to participate, even if you dont want to submit a HH you can still get on the discussion which I think should be beneficial for all.
you dont need Pokertracker or HEM. You would simply grab the tourney from the hand histories folder in the site your using..i.e Pokerstars, Fulltilt. I will be providing an e-mail address to the support here at TPE and you would send it. Thats it…..look for a more in depth Pm probably Sunday.
Ok it looks like we are about ready to get the study group going. RFB has the study group forum set up and the process will be extremely easy for everyone to submit hand histories. I will be PMing each of you who have shown interest in the study group Sunday night with more details and where to send the HHs. Right now Im looking for someone to go ahead and step up and volunteer to send the first HH so we can start rolling Late Sunday night. I would like to review the HH for a week we can always alter that based on the needs of the group.
I will be setting up an order for HHs to be submitted and if you dont have one when its your turn no worries we can get you on the next rotation. IMO I dont care if you go deep or not, as long as there are enough hands to review I actually like to review ones that are not wins or deep runs as we can identify maybe some leaks and spots missed.
For now just MTTs, and multi table Sngs HH as the play is somewhat different for SnGs. However if you guys want to do them as well then thats what we can do.
I would recommend using the Universal replayer when you decide to go over the HH. I will post a link and find a youtube video that explains it, however its rather straight forward.
Im pumped about this, there will be a lot of great discussion and a lot of self realization we all will get from this.
Very pumped for this. I’ve always stayed away from these things in the past due to a lack of confidence in my game and more so just worried about getting flamed….but i know this is the only way to really get better.
Wish I had a HH to submit first….but as mentioned still waiting to play until I feel I’ve got my knowledge level back from a year off. So looking forward to contributing to the discussion of the first few HH.
Thx JD for taking the initiative…..maybe something we can even build out over Skype once we get something established here.
Cheers.
Pedactor……that is an option we as the group can discuss once things are rolling smoothly
Still looking for someone to submit a HH. If no one steps up I will throw one of my own out there to get us going, not what I wanted to do because a lot of mine right now are multi-table SnGs.
The plan is still to send out a detailed PM to all interested late tomorrow night. I would like to get RFB some HHs today. If anyone has any they would like to get us going with please send them to support@tournamentpokeredge.com today (Saturday) if possible. Send as many as you like RFB can upload them and when we get ready to go over your HH I will PM you to ask if there are any specific notes, concerns or anything you feel is important to be thinking about as we review the HH. All that info would be at the top of the thread for everyone to see when they D/L the history.
Soooo please start sending some
