Good luck on the vote. If you don't succeed, come to Canada….free maple syrup with every citizenship application.

Bill went out of markup and is headed to the floor of the House, only problem is there is an amendment sitting on it to prevent giving licenses to sites that did not leave the USA when the UIGEA went into effect in 2006 (i.e. Pokerstars, Full Tilt, UB). We'll have to see where it goes.

yeah but the amendment excludes those that “broke the law” when UIEGA went into effect.  There's no clear consensus on what the law was and if PS/FTP broke it so it's not a forgone conclusion that they will be gone.  It's definitely better for competition if they stick around but it's not like there won't be sites to play on since the vegas casinos are getting in on the action.

Im really hoping this turns out for whatever best provides a kind of second poker boom as long as it keeps online poker legal in all 50 states and makes them lessen up on the depsoiting/withdrawing difficulties.
