Just watched the vid Tony G is running over the table they are all playing too tight and he is exploiting it. The Loose Cannon is playing with scared money. Over bets his monsters and passive with his weak hands. Should be entertaining to see how it  ends up.

or better yet he shoves with top two pair when Tony G bets small in the dark. They rabbit holed that hand and Tony would have hit an A on the river he could have gotten a lot more out of that hand….donkey.

needs more Tony G.  He beat PH in a pot that PH played atrociously and then said something along the lines of “Uhoh, get him a bike…. he can’t even ride a bike!” which is clearly a reference to …..prGnEjm2oE

Im sure being on camera and playing with those players would mess with any amateurs game, but I do find it amazing how bad he is playing.  I would love to watch these episodes next to him as he sees how bad he was pwned at this table.

They aired it last night, Im watching the episode right now.  They run it 4 times and the amateur wins 3 of the 4 times, to win almost 50k.

Episode 4 more of how poorly the loose cannon plays, he limps monsters and plays super passive. Daniel blows him off the best hand time and time again. Tony G goes on tilt some and is pretty much playing any two cards.

I watched all 4 episodes last night. This show is just fantastic.

Can’t underestimate how intimidating it must be for the loose cannon.  I agree that he is playing very poorly, getting pushed around by Daniel and missing tremendous value on river frequently.  However, as goroyalblue said it must be tough for someone who appears to be weak at the game to play against these guys.  He must just be relieved at the river to not be facing big bets and since there are draws that hit frequently I can see why he’s missing the value and just checking behind.  Obviously it’s bad but I can see how it’s happening.

The entertainment value is awesome.  The Phil vs. Cannon hand was epic and Tony G steaming is just hilarious.

Laak is playing lights out too.

Laak is just getting paid off because Tony G doesnt do anything but bet. But how about Laak vs Doyle Q9 vs Q4 when Doyle makes two pair on the turn and Laak lays it down….wtf is that soul reading?

EPISODE 5 wasnt as good as 4 but still had some good laughs from it. Watch the loose cannon talk at the end, even though his play was lacking he was still pretty funny.

This show is just the nuts… So many things right about it.  I never really praise anything, but this show is awesome.

The exchange between Tony G and Phil is just classic.  I think Daniel N. and co are a bit hard on Phil for no reason, but that’s another topic in itself.

Congrats to Stapes and co!

NEW Loose Cannon week 2 episode #1

The new guy is better than the week 1 guy but he is as boring as watching paint dry. The line up at the table is not the best but its nice to see Doyle be a card rackCool

I agree the loose cannon in week two is boring, I forget that he is there sometimes. Doyle is getting hit by the deck, I would love a run like he is having. What about the dress on Amanda!

Season two has one more episode. This loose cannon is much better but really isnt getting any big hands or monster flops.   Episode 3 and 4 have a few good hands, I still think week 1 was better.  However its still very fun to watch.

I thought it was bad. This guy Jason is not Durr and wouldnt be pulling some bluff on the river on such a scary board thats paired. Although I think he should have raised the set on the turn and I think thats what threw Daniel. Anything with showdown value less than a fullhouse calls Daniels bet on the river…..imo

How bout Daniel’s ugly J4 cracking KK  thats just sick. Im sure David was thinking this guy is a fish getting to the turn with that hand.

Week 3 …..is it just me or does it seem like this is a much easier field for Nadia to play against. I mean these guys play pretty straight forward and havent been really going after her.

I’ve only watched the first episode and a half so I can’t really say yet since it’s early in the action.  I think they are actually more scared of each other than anything else.

Ive watched a couple of episodes. This is the only entertaining poker show format I’ve seen. I really cant stand watching televised tournaments etc but this is pretty much fun due to the noob/intimidation factor of the LC and the ambivalence of the pros in wanting him to get chips from the other pros etc etc

First episode was by far the best to watch, second was ok and the third is meehhhh.  I mean come on watching Barry Greenstein is about as fun as watching paint dry.

this is the lineup that i would least want to play against if i were the LC.  Bonomo Mercier and Cada all play strictly NLHE, and Daniel Alaei is just Daniel Alaei.  If there’s an “underrated” in poker then it’s Alaei.  I hate to say it, but Barry is probably the soft spot at the table tbh, at least until Joe Cassidy shows up.  Week 2 was likely the best lineup for a LC, given Abe, Doyle and Daniel are all mixed game specialists and Calacanis is just some random.

I agree more cash game guys here with Bonomo and Alaei but  Greenstein isnt that tough and Mercier tries to play aggro like Durr but cant. Cada cant get out of his own way, he is the next Moneymaker who donked his way to a bracelet.  But it just seems like they dont go after the LC like they went after the other two, maybe because they want to score big Wink
