Hi guys. I’ve been playing poker on my Macbook (13″ screen) for a couple of years and have recently started playing up to 9 tables. Unfortunately, the screen gets a bit cluttered and it can sometimes be difficult to follow the action and take notes on players at all tables. So, despite saying I’d never go back to PC I think I’m going to buy a cheapish desktop (already have two 19″ monitors, keyboard and mouse), but I’m not sure what spec to go for, which is where i was hoping you guys could help me. I play up to about 9 tables and run PokerTracker too, so…

How fast does it need to be? (CPU speed)

How much RAM do I need?

How much disk space do I need? (How big can the databases on PokerTracker get?)

What video card is good for running 2 or maybe 3 screens? (Doesn’t have to be good for 3D gaming as I’ll just be using the PC for poker)

Thanks in advance for your help on this guys.

hey,

i dont know how much you want to spend or where

you want to order?

anyway this one for exemple is certainly good enough

…..m/Product/…..6883147304

even a cheaper one would do the job without problems..

any new Cpu available on the market is good enough

otherwise you dont need more than 2gb ram,

~250-500gb harddrive and a graphic card

that supports two monitors,

hope i could help a bit Smile

Yeah for playing poker your not needing a lot as far as cpu just a middle of the road processor get at least 2gigs of ram. Graphics card get an Nvidia rig, I have bad luck with ATI.  Your biggiest concern should be the monitor. Check out Killingbirds post to a monitor that he just bought at a great price and he really likes it.  Its a big monitor, probably can put all the tables your opening on two monitors on this one.
