Please put in a good word with the man upstairs for those of us who are in Earl's path. I live on the coast in Virginia, you could say we are just slightly north of the outerbanks area. I know KB has some property in the outerbanks so Im sure he is watching as well. Earl is expected on its current course to hit us Thursday/Friday he will be between a cat 4 or 3 hurricane. So we will see winds up to about 135mph, which sucks my 2 month of old new roof is only good for winds up to 120. But really any faster and the roof is the least of my concerns. Typical hurricane smashes us hard about once every 10 years and we are due. What will I do? Send my wife and kids packing out of the area and I will probably have to work 12 hour shifts as my home is being destroyed 🙁 It has happened before, hopefully not again. Having been to the gulf coast after Katrina you appreciate the pure destructive power of a hurricane, I thought I was in a war zone I had never seen 20 ft boats sitting in the tops of 20ft trees. I could go on forever about how bad that area was, it simply looked like a bomb went off. So please send a prayer along the way, every little bit helps.
KB…get ready brother because we are in for a wicked ride if something doesnt change the monsters course.

yup, GL to us. It's looking like it is going to be a doozy. I'll definitely be tracking Earls path closely. Was supposed to go out there for the weekend, now im trying to decide if I should go just to try and do whatever I can to protect the house, or if i just let it ride.
To anyone else in the path…be safe!!

I'm in Nova Scotia and Earl is expecting to make landfall here sometime on Sat., take care guys along the coast.
What part of NS? I'm moving back to Antigonish tomorrow for skewl.
Glad to hear everyone's doing OK. Update in my neck of the woods– Downgraded from hurricane to a tropical storm, and where I am specifically, the wind and weather warnings have been lifted. It's still raining and the wind is swirling quite a bit, but this is nothing major. Have heard of some friends in the southern parts of Nova Scotia who's power has gone out and a couple trees down, so it seems a little stronger there, but good ol' Early boy seems to be tiring out.
