Yo folks, it's DK Wilson here aka “mesoanarchy.” I've been a TPE member for awhile now and love what's happening here. On December 19, 2011 I contracted bacterial spinal memingitis. Besides nearly dying, I lost two full days of my life – to this day I don't remember Sunday afternoon to Tuesday night, when I came to in the Seton Hospital Intesive Care Unit (Austin folks prolly know where I'm talking about). Though my initial recovery time was way faster than the docs expects – I left the hospital Thursday afternoon, just in time for Xmas, but still on IVs through Jan. 2 – they all said it would take 3 months for me to get right.

Well, it's taken two months and I'm ready to go as far as I can with poker. I have the full support of my fam – wife and 9-year old daughter – and we're about a month away from not having to do anything other than be self-employed for the next three to four years.

Now, we live in Hyde Park and I've been given permission – lol – to ask TPE members in Austin (if there are more of you) if any of you would like to start getting together at least once a week for some serious HH sessions, poker/ poker & life talk, and general hangin' out and chillin'. If there are any TPE members from Austin who think this is a good idea, please let me know. I want to begin meeting around the second week in April.

And just so everyone understands, it's important to deal with people who are serious about growing their games and who are equally serious about living a balanced life while pursuing poker as way to live free of the constraints of life with a “boss” over your head.

If this interests any members, here's my contact info:

email: mesoanarchy@gmail.com

cell: 704.2772 (area code 512, if you need it)

Hope to hear from people soon. Thanks for your time —– and Ron Fez KB, et al. keep up the awesome work. TPE is the spot!

peace,

-DK

Oh yeah: I guess I should have added that because of the illness I couldn't play. I did enter a $1 turbo and cashed but was so burnt afterward I had to take a nap. It was so bad that taking a 4 block walk and back home just tore me up. It's only been until the last week that I've begun to feel good enough to consider playing.

Ha! Thanks KB. I'm normally pretty much a hermit. Even before I got sick I decided to play no MTTs and just study vids, re-read both volumes of Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand at a Time, and go through the MTTs I played to better understand the leaks in my game. But players always say they grew most when they had people around to talk about the game, specific hands, and more. So, since there are quite few players in Austin, I thought I'd step out & see if any are TPE members who'd like to get together.
