This was a 6 max SnG that I was doing well in throughout, very much in control a lot of the time until 3 handed play, with the following stack arrangements:
Hero: 5000
V1: 2050
V2: 1950
Blinds at 60/120 no ante
I had a good aggressive image at this point, and of course I need to continue the aggression. But as I did, long story short the villains played back at me pretty well, hole cards and flops ran nasty, and I lost momentum. Both villains are pretty competant and aggressive, willing to open or raise a lot of pots, capable of laying down 2nd best hands and such.
Before 3 handed play, my usual open was to min raise.
Now at 3 handed play, I considered open/shove mode but decided not yet. I opted to get their stacks a bit smaller before doing that. Was this wrong?
As I continued the min raising (though sometimes I did shove), they both started reshoving on me and/or calling and playing aggressively post flop. I tried to adapt and switch things up but maybe I shouldn’t have been allowing for this post flop play in the first place. Should I generally be open shoving my range with the above stacks because of their strong reshove stacks? Especially considering that I am suddenly not being dealt many aces, kings or pocket pairs?
