18 left in the tournament, 12 get paid. Villain is running at 31/19 over 155 hands. his standard open size was min raise, but 2 or 3 times in the last 2 orbits he had min raised, and i had shoved on him and he had folded.

what is my play here?

Villain is probably playing back at you, and based on his stats he could have anything. If he has a big hand, why would he not min raise again to induce you.

With that said since you have only 13bb left, this is probably a snap shove and if he has it, nh him.

Personally I fold 99 cause it’s flipping too many hands and he is probably just annoyed at the re shoving. Wait for another hand in my opinion

think he is just looking at the stacks behind him and saying “i have a hand i am not folding”.  it is ineed TT and JJ a lot…perhaps AK and AQ sometimes as well.  In this spot I think I would just assume be the first in with your stack…but some people might call be an idiot and say stick it in here…and they very well might be right.

This is probably a poker stove question.

The problem with it being a pokerstove question is that it's really tough to range him here. Personally I never fold 99 with 13 bbs almost. But I think I go ahead and fold. It sucks, but we dont have any fold equity and we really have no idea wtf he has.

I think about 0.000263% of the time its also some kind of mouse spazz error, so we can keep that in mind i guess.

Really interesting spot though, ty for posting this.

Never ever folding here. Villain could easily be doing this with 22-88.

I was thinking about this a bit, and originally i thought it could be a misclick, but there is no way a standard open starts with a 6. i.e if he made it 21k then its much more likely a misclick because of typing an extra zero

If he has min raised the last couple of orbits and you have shoved on him, surely if he had a hand better than 99 he would min raise again — i can never see me folding 99 here with 13 BB  especially with the extra value in the middle.

Hawkeye got the range about right.

This is a really close spot, but a fold. He has so many more 1010-JJ in his range than anything else, little of which we are crushing.

If he opened to 3x here as an adjustment to your aggression and loose range, would people consider that a good adjustment?

All of the analysis makes sense here. However, if I am the villain with JJ+, I am always min raising and praying for shove, no way I am going to try to scare anyone off.

Also, what are we waiting for with 13bbs, probably about to go to 8 or 9bbs, do you want to cash or win? JMO cool

Not folding. It is definitely close but I think JLUDE is right and there are plenty of 22-88 and hands we are flipping with that he 6x commits himself so he doesn't have to face a decision. Get it in if he has a better pair its kind of a cooler. If not, Play to win.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

At the time I was like wtf, surely he doesn’t do this with a higher pair, maybe TT but meh, so I gladly got it in, and of course he rolled aces. Completely shocked me, I mean it’s just lolbad but that happens I guess

Agreed. Stick it in. That’s what she said

I feel like giving up equity if I fold nines in this spot, get it in, win the hand and give yourself a chance to win the tournament.

edit: just saw the result, gg and wp aces
