I am table CL with about 92k at day 1. Blinds are 300/600. Villain is a HS cash game pro and he is pretty close with 87k. UTG is an online mtt pro with about 45k. My image is really tight. I folded 3 times to the HS cash game pro 3-bet from the BT when I opened at EP. This is the first time I dont fold to his 3-bet.

UTG opens for 1.5k. I call with 9h9s in MP and the villain 3-bet again to 5k on the BT for the 4th time. UTG calls and I call to set mine.

Flop comes Ah9s5h. Everyone checks pretty quickly. Villain insta checks.

Turn is the 2h. UTG fires 10k. I tank and call. Villain insta shoves 82k. UTG insta calls.

i am guessing one of them woke up with aces, but it is such a gross spot to be folding

Pretty gross alright

1stly – I doubt the btn has the nuts. No-one makes insta-decisions with the nuts, it's just not instinct.

I also agree with benny that either of these villains looks like they have AA or 55 but i def think flushes are a part of utg's range and less likely btn's range

I'd hate it but given the utg action to snap call i doubt we're ahead of much of his holdings here and i'd fold

Sick, flush got there. So sick. Wow, what do ya do? If there is one player in the handI can't see myself folding here, if the villian has AA congrats, but with two players in the hand and the flush getting there, allbeit, no one bet the flush draw so maybe we can rule out that, but maybe the UTG was gonna check raise his flush draw and didn't expect the BT to check.

Wow, tough spot. Would the button check AA with a reasonably wet board and two other players in the hand? Don't think so? I think I fold here like a little girl that I am. 🙁

It's not that tough of a fold vs. both of them because honestly you're hoping to be up against 55 and 22. The possibility of one of them having a flush is well over 50% here because of this board.

I considered some factors:

1) UTG was an online pro pretty good and villain on the BT one of the best cash gamers in the last years so I didnt think UTG range had many marginal hands like suited connectors which would make flushes in his range almost impossible. Also the fact that the Ace of heart is on board means he cannot have the nuts on the turn (nut flush such as AhKh, AhQh, AhJh or AhTh), hands he could call the 3-bet out of position.

So my conclusion is the UTG range is basically pairs to set mine against both of us or AK,AQ without the Ace of hearts. I am not so sure if he is calling to set mine with all his pairs because his implied odds are not that great (about 13:1 implied plus direct odds) and also the fact that I could be flat calling with a monster and 4-bet. I also don't think he has AA here very often because if he just flats he will give me a ton of implied odds to set mine (which is one of the most likely holdings I could have).

2) When BT insta checks the flop I don't think he checks in position this kind of flop with flush draws given his previous c-bet frequency. So after the flop I think his range to check is sets (more likely AA then 55) or some kind of weak top pair, 2nd pair (KK,QQ,JJ) where he wants to pot control.

By the turn when BT insta jams I have a really hard time to put him on AA because by jamming there are not many worse hands that calls him and even with a set of 99s I had to think for about 10min. No better hand folds (flushes) and almost no worse hand calls him.

What do you think of my thought process?

So anyway the BT had AA and was CTS and the UTG had AQs without hearts. I made the call and missed my heart or 9.
