This just frustrates me, just wondering the take on that. Lets say I was to have 88 or JJ in that spot. Maybe even AK. I would fold the 88 and AK, but JJ would be rough to fold. Anyways, I just don’t see the point in it.

I was just seeing what you guys thought. Seems like he hit TPWK and is “trying to protect” his hand.

even if you call and are ahead, you’re likely flipping.  I doubt he’s doing this with 42s or 3x, but if so, nh wp sir, enjoy the 300 chips in the pot.  Against and 9 or T you’re essentially dead, vs. 2 overs you’re a coinflip, vs. an OESD you’re a slight underdog.  Don’t ever fold JJ in this spot btw.  88 i could go either way I suppose since you now beat 77,66,55, have blockers for a straight draw+live cards (such as QJ, J8 or 87), and have a backdoor straight draw yourself.

Anyways, its no biggie…Just love the horrible play that I see, try to take advantage of it (I say that but I don’t know how often I actually do). Anyways, I am over this, just kinda bleh about that crap.

from my experience of calling these hands…they usually do it cause they think you will call so they only do it with strong hands…

so from what i’ve learnt…i take it that they have a strong hand so now adays i fold

Folding is fine here.  Even if he’s ”bluffing” he has you beat with a lot of those hands.
