I'm not sure is it polite question or not, so plz don't beat me. Sorry for asking, but just can't get idea of Why Great players as ALL Pros on this site need to make video in order to reveal their smart brains and show how do they play? In my mind they can continue grinding, making huge bunch of money and be happy, without doing that video, talking forums and etc…WhY? Reasons?

P.S. I pretty much like everything on this site, pretty strong coaches and decent vids and forum. So just my curiosity.

Because it another source of income for the guys. Grinding it out online for a living is not easy.  Becoming a sponsered pro for a training site is a good break from the grind yet still be involved in poker and still make money to make  your car payment ,rent/mortgage.   Good players don't play the same way every time, they know how to change gears throughout a tourney so not to become too predictable.  Another reason is that the game is always changing, what is the norm for today will probably be different a few yrs. from know.

But what do i know, I dont play poker for a living.

this is a really solid response.

also, speaking for myself, training sites and forums were, and still are, two of the primary means with which i sharpen my own game. so along with the income potential and the fact that this site gives me some exposure, it's also a way to give back.

i also don't think that it's as easy or as cut and dry as us giving out our “secrets” and our opponents being able to use the info on this site to beat us. like mcbain said, the game is constantly changing, and you have to always be workign hard and evolving to stay ahead of the curve. training sites are a great tool to help you to do so, but they are by no means some magic key to the money chest.

I imagine it feels really good helping others while making money. Playing poker is great in all but you are in no way contributing to society.

We are also enjoying building this business.  The pros are very much involved in all facets of running this site so they get to experience a different facet of life than they otherwise might have.  It's a nice change of pace to have brainstorming sessions, or talking about marketing, or web development, etc.

They are competitive, smart people so they are always looking for ways to expand their minds/lives.

Few things are as satisfying as building a successful business so I have to imagine that getting the opportunity to use and contribute ones skills to a new venture is exciting. It is what made it great starting a business with my wife. Having a unique skill which you have mastered makes for excellent contribution to these types of ventures and really helps them succeed. I would image for the pro's here this is a dynamite way to gain exposure to a lot of new things while leveraging the skills they have worked so hard to develop. Besides that it is always fun to try something different every now and again, routine can become extremely boring no matter how profitable it may be.

My wife is a ceramics artist and makes ceramic beads/pendants/charms and such and I do glass work. She makes things into finished jewelry which we sell out of our studio in Lafayette, NJ and she is just ramping up our online store which should be open in a few weeks.
