Hey Guys –
We are thinking of doing a TPE live workshop sometime in the future and wanted to start this thread to gauge interest and take any feedback or suggestions. We are VERY early in the planning stages, but are thinking Atlantic City for the location. Because we still have many details to work out, we also do not know what the price would be as of yet.
Essentially this workshop would be a multi-day, live training “seminar”. Probably in a rental house of some sort. We would do classes/training throughout the day and then do sessions in the evenings where we can live sweat, give feedback on hands played, discuss tough spots, etc.
If this seems like something you might be interested in, please feel free to post here. We’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

I would be very interested depending on 3 conditions:
1) Wein would be prohibited from handling sharp objects while sweating students
2) Cost somewhat (as long as its par with what else is out there….I sent Killingbird and example….then all cool)
3) What the actual structure/learning would be probably the most important (hopefully if this happens we can have a look at the curriculum prior).
Awesome thing to do though…..I would be hard pressed not convincing myself to do this.
P.S. Wein rules.
LETS GET A SUITE! hahaha.. im 45 mins. dead north from A.C., when im at school about 2 hours, well worth it… my roommate would actually prolly be pumped to come along for the ride… he loves playing cards, but doesnt have much insight to the game, maybe this could be an eye opener.
what would the cost be looking like?
On another side note, will anyone be there in september?

We should sticky this post and rename the subject of it or make a new one with the title “workshop” in it and sticky that if circuit week is the target since that's December.
That way it doesn't get buried and people who join TPE between now and then see it immediately.

Yeah – I made a final table at Caesars 2 yrs ago I think, out in 10th shortstacked, knocked out by Chris Reslock. It seems I did alot better in live mtts when I knew alot less about the game. 🙂
My friend Will Failla says that about pple: ” yeah thats another one who learned how to play and doesn't cash anymore.”

Appreciate all the feedback so far guys. This is something we really want to do in the future and we'll do our best to make it both (a) awesome and (b) affordable. Obviously its not cheap to get all the pros there, rent facilities (probably need monitors and other computer gizmos that RFB will be in charge of…lol) but i think it would be a great time and obviously beneficial for everyone. Plus it would be great to meet some of you guys in person!
In the meantime , if any of you have other suggestions about anything related to this at all, keep em coming!
I think this could be a really exciting opportunity for those who are able to attend. I am sure some time together in person to talk strategy, do some sweating and get some play time as a group as well as a nice cold beer and just hang with some pretty great folks would be okay by me!
Is it possible to do this somewhere closer to the Midwest, assuming there are TPE folks equally spread across the country????? How about Dallas, or somewhere in Texas, the home of Texas Hold 'em? Actually, like Austin, because it's the state capital, the music and bar scene – 6th St. – is as good as any in the country, hotels are everywhere downtown, and I live there!!!!… which means I can quite possibly put some people up in my home (at least two…).
What do y'all think????
… and maybe, just maybe I can talk with Jon “Pearljammer” Van Fleet of “Winning Tournaments Online One Hand At A Time” and have him make a guest appearance. I chatted him up in May about mentoring me but he was getting ready for the WSOP and told me to talk to him in August. I emailed him and he's getting another book together (a Part 3 to “Winning Tournaments…”) and generally busy. BUT. He could be amenable to popping in with other top pros like the fellas of TPE and talking shop.
p.s. “Lighting Money On Fire”!!!! Damn, how'd you guys know I was running that badly?!… definitely lmao!
this would be a lot of fun for me.
i live in vermont, so AC works fine for me.
also, just for RFB/KB, i shall require a private jet and a personal suite with two king-sized beds. i really don't like having to sleep in the same bed every night. i want to be able to switch it up.

Hagbard, you live in VT!!! Damn, I lived in Burlington for seven years – moved back to Austin in 2009…. AC is AC and Jersey is Jersey…. wonder how many microstakers like me can do this?
Yeah I would love to do this…But I really don't have the cash for it.
College can break the bank if ya know what I mean.
If this is a yearly thing though, I am sure there will be a time when I could go.
Stay positive!
