hey

no reads

which line do you take otf? do you prefer calling or shoving here? If we call we can keep the weakest part of his range in like 8x , if he has a draw they’ve got very good equity vs our hand which makes me wanna call here and then re-evaluate turn. If the the turn is a blank and v bets maybe then shoving would be better as then our equity increases against flush draws.we  we could also call turn and re-evaluate river?

thoughts please?

cheers.

hello!

I would 3bet flop, raise not a shove, around 4k, usually I try to hit ‘time bank’ when I do this, cause I think if V is bluffing he might think you will fold pra a shove otf, and maybe shove all his bluff on you.

Put some hands for combo draws here: Ad8d,Kd8d,Qd8d,Jd8d,Td8d,9d8d,9d7d,8d7d,5d4d; and against this range V is 48.29% to win, with the money in the pot is profitable to gii here, if you are agains a set you are in bad shape off course.

Not sure if I like the call otf and reevaluate ott, if is a blank V can bet and fold perhaps? pot will have 5683 chips ott, hero with 7458 if I am not wrong, I guess you will have some folds if you shove on V raise ott on a blank card.

I like 3bet raise flop better.

The thing is if we 3-bet flop we are giving v a chance to 4-bet shove with a draw. Don’t you think its better if we shove instead? which do you think is better?

To me if you want to increase fold equity a shove is better, but all V´s bluffs will fold, if you raise he might shove a bluff thinking you can still fold, I think your hand has value in this, so 3bet raise and never fold. smile

Let´s see if someone else thinks diferent.

Don’t worry about your FE vs draws; any draw you’d prefer him to fold isn’t going to fold.

@focault, Ok but do you think calling the flop raise is fine? I mean if we literally know that v has a flush draw would u gii otf? i think we should as we’re a slight favourite but not by a huge margin. draws have good equity vs our hand here. The thing is we are not deep as such, so that kinda leans me more towards gii otf rather then calling the raise otf and re-evaluating turn ect If we were deep obv calling flop is better , as shoving 300bb with a pair would be totally terrible lol 😉
