Where to stay in Vegas

This question is for everyone.  Going to Vegas for Super Bowl weekend.  Went two years ago and stayed at Encore.  Good time.

Going back this year.  Just getting opinions on where to stay.  We're thinking middle of strip, but just trying to get nice deal.  Going to play some poker, not a ton.

Where would you stay and give me some reasons.

Thanks

Pierre

We stay at the golden nugget or at the MGM a lot. Bellagio if money isn’t a big thing. Stayed there once and loved it!

I really liked TI for the price.  Showboat is like $25 right now if you want to go on the cheap!

Venitian/Palazzo

Poker room is nice and they have good tourneys. Pool area and beach bar are filled with great scenery as well.wink

go somewhere centrally located on the strip.  You really can't go wrong as long as it's not the Imperial Palace.

The tropicana was being remodeled when I went this summer, the new rooms are really nice and it is pretty cheap.  I also really like MGM.

I didn’t think it the imperial palace was that bad if you want cheap! I stayed there once and got a great bundle deal which gave me more money for poker! Poker, I don’t even know her! Sorry, one of my favorite quotes. Why don’t you like it Wein?

I second this, IP is my usual choice when I go.

Edit:

Oooops just realized you did not like the IP. Luxury it is not but if you just need a place to pass out it does the job.  If you want Luxury and can afford it, go with Caesar's, I love me the Palace.

If I had my choice I'd stay at Venetian/Palazzo everytime.

Thank you to everyone for the help.  We're leaning towards the Venetian.  Plus, I could play in their Deep Stack tourney and get a discount, I think.

Thanks again.

Venetian is very nice. No chance of being disappointed.
