Villain only has 4k left in his stack on the river, right?  I think as long as  you don't fold the result will usually be similar.  But it is a close call between check/calling and putting him all in.

I would lean towards just putting him in.  That way you don't lose value on worse pairs which he can't fold but he will not bet if he's given an option to check the river.  If you have him beat and he has nothing, (like a busted AT spade draw), he may fold to a river shove, but we aren't necessaily losing much because he's likely to check the river if we check to him in that case as well. If he has you beat, I don't think you can do much to save chips – if you check he will probably bet and you will have to call.

As usual, don't take my input as gold quality – I am sure others will have good things to say that may disagree or correct me.

Rip the turn… Aim for value from flush draws and worse pp's and board pairs… Not getting value from a flush draw on the river if he misses.  Having said that, for him to flat the turn w a flush draw seems really odd and almost unlikely.  At the same time I think he gets it all in with hands better than yours… Almost looks like a weak Q… I don't know… Stack sizes make it pretty easy toj ust put him in.  But as I said I like 2/3 pot bet putting him all in on turn.  IMO…

This really looks like a fish who just can't fold a flush draw, but who is too passive (and a 42/15 plays fairly passive) to shove the draw like he should. Given how often he likes to see flops, this honestly could be a mid PP that he has played rather poorly.

I'm ripping the turn card, but as played, just dumping it on on river. I'm never folding to his shove, so I might as well be the one putting the chips in. If we check, it's unlikely that he would now bluff shove a broken draw that he didn't want to just gii on the flop with.
