UTG was very active so his raise didn't mean much to me and the flat from MP1 was screaming small pair. I had been active as the short stack for while and once I doubled I 3-bet shoved twice in position and they folded. This was about 10 minutes since my last move.
I gave myself 2 options, shove or make it 1950 to rep AA or KK setting up a pot size shove on flop if 1 player flats. Being a $26 buyin and have seen people flat 1/3 of their stack and go with any piece or draw I decided to just shove since MP1 was OOP and might shove any low flop with a PP or draw. Most $26 players think 3-bet means AK everytime so he could actually do this with nothing on the flop putting me in a bad spot but I would still have just enough for a 3-bet shove stack if that did happen.
I'm pretty sure the majority will say shove but my other thinking is UTG probably has 1 of my outs if I'm against the pair. Don't really like flatting at all with the pot already being a decent size but is 27bbs too much to shove?

I think i like a shove in this spot for several reasons.
- If we take the route of 3betting we are not folding to a 4betshove, so put the pressure on them by shoving first
- If we pick up the pot uncontested we add approx 15% to our stack.
- Our shove may be perceived as a squeeze and get called light
- I think MP1 could easily have a low PP and fold to our shove, as i feel 99+ shows more aggression pre.
I agree with you that most will say shove but I am interested to hear their opinions as well
