im in small rebuy tournament on pokerstars, i have 11,000 chips blinds are 400/800 , i have 77 utg what is optimal/correct play here, do i shove min raise or fold? ive been inclined to shove  here in past but ive got called by better hands many times and lost. im lost here i dont know what right play is.

This is a pretty marginal spot. I think min-raise/calling and min-raise/folding are out of the question so we are left with shoving and folding. 77 is the bottom of and equilibrium shoving range UTG with 13.75bb. I calculated it with 10% ante, but it could easily turn into a much more profitable spot with larger antes. With the given information, shove if there are no ICM considerations and fold if there are.

I would shove especially where guys in this buyin level are not calling correctly. UTG shove = nuts in fish logic and you will get folds from hands you wouldn’t believe.
