def MTTs. You can go months without an MTT score. Just look at say, my graph on …..p://FTP. It is huge cliffs with massive spikes. I've gone from up 130k on there to up 40k on there in a matter of a year… but one score and I'll be way back up there. Just so much variance in MTTs. That's why it's so crucial to stay positive.
As mention before, def. MTTs..
Take my last weekend for example (still a little down about it, but well.. i'm also human)..
fri: 9th $300cubed WCOOP 2nd chance
sat: 8th $100r
sun: 8th $150r
Combined with all the other buy-ins, including WCOOP ME, I'm only up $10K for the month…. I had over 30 FTs but only won 1 tournament, got 3rd in two of them and the rest are all 5-9th places. All MTTs had a buy-in over $75 so to see how big the variance is, I could have had a 150K+ month if I only run a little beter on the FTs..
However, the real mentality (need to practice still in that, tbh) should have us not care about these direct results and just keep on grinding and it will come around eventually.

Poker $$$$ are relative…. I'm playing backed, so up 10K only means 5K profit for me. Besides I have makeup from previous months so I end up winning nothing in total..
It might look like the best job in the world and everyone is having a shitload of money, however, in reality it's mostly different. Yday I got 2nd in 163fo and 2nd in 55fo on http://FTP.. Combined a total profit of 12K for the day. I paid all my BI's etc for the day.
This month I was down 10K. So now I'm only up 2K and sat. and sunday are big days with high bi MTTs as well. So if I don't hit any scores. I'll be down between 10-15K again….
On PK5s there was a really cool topic, def a good read for everyone to understand how (MTT) poker works in regards of profits… It's called something like “how many % of the ranked players are broke”.. Must read imo!
The same will be for all the TPE pros that play all the majors on all sites (or at least UB, FTP and PS). A sunday alone is costing between 8 and 10K alone..
