Are there any specific things you do to analyze your game that maybe a lot of ppl wouldn't think of? I started a thread on a different forum talking about how I was trying to look at very specific spots; I filtered holdem manager for spots where I had the opprotunity to 3-barrel and was running some analysis on weather or not it would be profitable to barrel the river based on what hands I felt he would peel twice with given player/positions/board runout etc. It was fairly interesting and something I should do more often, but it is pretty time consuming. Anyways I guess I'm curious if there's any unusual things you guys do to analyze your game.

I use PT4 to analyze hands after every session. I have mutliple custom tags that I use to tag any hand that I am unsure about. Some of the tags I use indicate which street has the most difficult decision, that the line I took was not optimal, or to use NASH ICM Calculator. It is a great way to go over your play because most hands are fairly straightforward so pinpointing the difficult or interesting ones is a time saver. After a session, I can have anywhere from 10 to 100 tagged hands. I go over all of them and type my thoughts and reads in the hand note. If I am faced with an all-in or river bet, I often range the villain and enter that range into the equity calculator to see if I am getting a good enough price to call. This process usually narrows down the list to a few hands that I need more help analyzing from poker buddies. I save them with a special taag indicating that they need more analysis and go back and forth analyzing hands with friends sometime each week.

I pretty much suck w PT4, but am forced to use it playing on ACR; I know theres this pop-up when you like click on the hand history thing and it gives you these options like 'good hand' 'bad hand' and I think 3 others; is that basically what you use to filter? (I know in HEM you just click 'mark this hand' or something to that effect, and then you just filter to only show marked hand; I'm guessing PT4 is pretty similar?)

I should really find a tutorial or something for PT4 cuz I feel totally retarted using that fking software yell

Yeah I use those options only I created a few of my own because the default ones were too basic. You don't need to open the HH replayer to tag a hand, you should be able to do it from a drop down option in the PT4 menu for the table. It has the current hand and the previous 5 to choose from. Yeah, then you can filter PT4 to only show marked hands either in today's hands or in a HH report. It's a bit confusing at first, but not too bad after some experimenting.
