Being a small stakes, casual grinder in the US Im a little perplexed at how to approach the game going forward. In addition to improving my game on the felt, I became a very strict bankroll management follower. My poker funds were always online and when I had a big enough score I'd withdraw some but Id always allow my roll to grow so I could move up in stakes. This plan was going fine and it was great to see my online roll grow.
Now, disposible money is a little tight. My poker money is all sitting online and I don't know when I am going to see and I am not sure how much of my life roll I plan on freeing up for online poker. Obviously, I have a few options to play online, and I have decided I will take the risk, but Im now not sure how to approach Bankroll mangagement.
How are the other small stakes players approaching this? Even how are the higher stakes approaching this? Whats your plan going forward with regards to bankroll mangagement in this brave new world???
I think the best thing you can do if you decide to play is to deposit a very small amount. I'm not sure withdrawals are 100% guaranteed.
Obviously this impacts the games you can play. I put 200 on merge, and am willing to put another 200. I am sticking with $3 – $10. This is obviously not in line with BR mgmt as i outlined it previously but I'm willing to be a bit riskier here and just redeposit, especially since i expect to get my money back from stars/ftp/ub/ap
If redepositing isn't an option I'd try to follow strict BRM.
