I would say the difference is a tight aggressive player can find places to bet aggressively without the best hand, but they only take the really good spots, so they are still pretty tight, while a nit has to “have it” to continue.

The biggest single specific difference might be cbetting and sometimes double or triple barrelling without a made hand.  As for transforming your game, I would just watch a lot of videos and take note of the bets and raises the pros make that you would not.  Try to understand their reasoning and find similar spots in your own game.

I would say hand reading ability is one of the key separating factors. The ability to determine that you have the best hand without holding the nuts, or the ability to determine whether or not you can push someone off of the best hand. As mark said though, watch vids, see the sorts of spots they look for, and the sorts of plays they make, also how they categorise players to help figure out what sorts of plays to make against which players.

I would say the above answers are theoretically correct.  In practice it usually breaks down like this:

If the person is respected, they're a TAG.  If the person is not respected, they're a Nit.

Is my post helpful?  Probably not, but it is humorous and accurate.  And I do that WAY better than helpful! 😀
