WCOOP Question

After reading this post …..-wcoop-22/ I had a question about a WCOOP ticket I won and which event I should play.

I won a $320 ticket in PS Extreme Satellite series in August and can use it to buyin to any $320 event but it cannot be cashed in or transfered. I am planning on playing event 44 since it's not a weekend (when I'm usually at the lake with no connection) and it has a big stack, long level structure.

My question is, since its a 2x chance where you have to bust to be able to buyin again, is it a big disadvantage to someone who only has one buyin. I understand that it would be a big mistake to have one buyin and enter a rebuy but would the same logic apply here?

TY

yeah i think its a bad idea to choose this event without the intention of using a 2nd chance. at least, you are putting yourself at a disadvantage to much of the rest of field, and one of the reasons an event like this is so +EV is that a lot of people got in just like you and are going to play with one bullet, whereas others can use two. it should be obvious that havng one tourney life as opposed to two is a disadvantage.

There is a $320 with 10 min levels this friday night.  Obv the structure isn't as good but the prizepool should be huge.

Ya I would choose a softer 320 that is going to be one of the bigger ones.  not using the 2nd chance is losing value i think.

Unfortunately I can't play the 10 min level event on Friday. In hindsight I prob should have played the 6max mixed holdem on Tuesday.

My only other option is the turbo holdem on the 23rd event 52.

I played the sat. knowing that I would be in tough in any one of those torneys, but for $16.50 it was worth taking a shot. It will be an experience no matter how it turns out…I'm gonna have some fun and hope to run real good!wink

at least this is a good attitude.

and whatever you play, don't overthink too much. don't let the buyin affect you (you got in for 16.50!) and just play solid.

play the ten minute level tourney and keep within the competition the 2x chance will have multiple players playing a liitle more aggressively and taking more shots the ten minute level tourney will be more straight forward. congrats on the satty win
