Hello guys!
I’m new to the forums, have been a member for a while but never posted anything so here’s my first questionmark 😀
It’s 10+1 Rush rebuy mtt, with about 30 to go and i find myself in this spot against a reg 25/20 with a 3b of 16%. Now is this correct? is the 4b too small, should i just push it in? but if i do push it in and get called i’m very rarely ahead with ATo, at best i’m flipping. Your opinions? thanks

I personally min raise prepared to call the shorty of 7bb, but fold to the 3bet of any other villain remaining. With a rush tourney, it is just hard to say, because you really are playing somewhat readless. However, I don't think that the sb is seldom making a move light here. The stack dynamics would warrant a move though (of a thinking player) with you at @25bb. The villain knows that he is putting you to a test of 4bet shoving or folding. I personally fold, preserve my stack and have the fold equity to 3 bet shove with at a later hand. With a weak ace you are going to be dominated so often to bigger acess or bigger pair 1010+. At best the villain will turn over 99 and even there you are flipping.
With how the hand was played though , I 4 bet shove (or 4 bet like 1/2 pot setting up a go and go on the flop no matter what falls), by 4 betting minimum you are giving the villain a price to call and you are going to be in a difficult postion post when you hit the ace. IMO you are going to be way ahead or way behind at that point anyway so you might as well get it in pre. You still have FE pre, so if the villain is making a move, they will fold to your 4 bet shove. Best of luck at the tables.
