Sorry guys for this hand, I see my mistake now. I thought he bet pot on the flop. Well, I guess we could discuss this hand as though he bet pot lol.

If he bets half the pot after the flop, a case can be made for calling/floating and see what happens. You have two overcards to the board and if your post-flop call slows him down you might get to see two cards in which you might get there. It’s hard to know if his c-bet means he has a big hand of if it is a case of he is always making the continuation bet even with air. As it happens, you would have gotten there on the turn. If he bets the pot post-flop then I don’t think the price is right for you to make the call. If he had bet the flop with a pot-sized bet (which would be strange) it seems polarized to bluff or monster, so I think your choice is either fold or raise.

Yeah for sure. In game I thought he bet the pot IDK why. That’s the only reason I folded. I was right in thinking he had an overpair, just wasn’t paying attention I guess? lol. I agree with you, if I had actually realized he bet 1/2 pot I would have called for sure, and we obviously know what I would do if he bet pot lmao.
