What were you planning to do if someone 5bet (cold 5bet from someone behind/original raiser/3bettor)? I don't mind the play to get the pot HU against the 3bettor and play for his stack. You could also flat pre as well and play AKs multi-way for its big draw potential. Flop is pretty standard imo.

I don't normally like 3/4b this early pre-ante with AK. At these stakes you can end up in a nasty spot post if you miss, as they like to c/r or pot/shove. I find it's better not to bloat the pot this early so you don't have a hard decision post, or at least have the option of floating without commiting your stack. I picked this up in one of Cougar's vids when he said he doesn't like 3betting pre ante and it's been working out better for me anyway. Never folding the flop though as played.

The 3 bettor has 1800 to start the hand. I think that combined w the sizing of the bets as well as the Buyin make this a pretty easy 4b.
Obviously get it in in the flop
Can you please explain further to me why it is better to 4bet here then flat the 3bet? Thanks
