not too happy getting flatted here….feelin it less with the flop …..i just don't expect to outplay villain so i check folded…
i realize when i check im giving up and likely facing a snap bet from villain….
but if i lead out i think im almost never taking the pot down with one bet….
not much history but im just viewed likely as a decent slightly winning reg…

No point in opening it if you don't plan to cbet when you wiff. You are gonna miss the flop entirely more times than not. Agree with ttwist, you gotta apply pressure even when it is an uncomfortable spot. Any reads on villian? What do you think his flat range is? Use all the information. Maybe your line should be a planned check/raise here. Make them feel uncomfortable. GLGL

you have to c-bet this board imo – it is pretty dry, there are no draws other than the flush draw.
if your opponent has any pair they are probably calling, but given that there are so many scare cards for your villain, i think this is a great board to cbet.
i would cbet here, and if called, i would double barrel any card higher than a 9, and also any spade

yah i really hate these spots as well but its all about pressure at this point of a tourney and you gotta know that wiffing the flop in this situation almost demands a cbet, and if you gotta muck after turn you still have 22/23 bb. pressure pressure pressure
ya i felt like i needed to cbet but i don't think i get many folds ….meaning i don't think villain calls to just fold to a cbet on a board like this…which is fine it just feels like im for sure double barreling…or facing a raise….maybe im just learning about dealling with better players but i sure felt like im in a fold or get it all in spot….

About opening as my bros mentioned that….im comfortable with this hand with any other player on the table, so if i did feel that i would always check fold here i think i can still open aqo, however im sure check fold isn't the best line regardless…..
my read on villain are that he is playing about 23/20….but i can't range him any better than suited aces pair suited broadway sc, and monsters. Like i can't say he didn't just flat to play a pot vs me or just as a trap vs a lp raiser……not a big hand sample im sure either…
i def considered a check raise, and i can comfortable fold to a 3bet but again i think i have to give up if he flats…maybe not…..

im sure have to cbet here but thinking of his range i feel like i have to rep aces or kings some how to get a fold at some point….i just envision him calling down with mid+ pairs and maybe out playing me with ak or over cards…
but i like the double barrel plan and i think i could use that to play this hand better next time!
I think your options here are cbet and fold to a raise or check-jam the flop, as you will have plenty of fold equity.
I actually prefer the check-jam, as it will show a 25% stack increase, and there a lot of hands in his range that he will
pretty much have to fold in this spot.
19950(the pot)/ 79641(your starting stack)=25%
