Hey guys, just curious what everyone thinks here?

No reads as it is super early in the tourney and i think i just got to the table, folded 1 hand and then rebought before this hand.

Actually the only read i had was that he is russian (if that means anything to ya'll)smile

I mean, 4 way, i was like theres no way he pots it like this with TT or AK and my range for him was exactly AA KK or JJ.

Does anyone 4bet pre?

And post flop is there any other play than folding here?

I would also just flat pre. I think his range also includes AhKh, but that doesn't mean much, because you are still crushed by his range. Betting close to the pot, especially 4handed, usually means big hand that he doesn't want to fold. So for me it's a fold, tough one, but I can't see any other play that would be better. Also there are still 2 other players.

I flat pre and fold on the flop to his pot sized bet with two players behind.  We do have an overpair to the board but we have to imagine we are going to be facing big bets on turn and river.  Just don't think its necessary to play a guessing game here.  His range more then likely has us crushed here.

Agree with above…and you got to fold.

Pot size bet is usually pretty scary.  Is this the $5 2R1A?  I remember some pretty fishy play during the first few levels of that tournament….he doesn't necessarily have to have you crushed.  I guess he probably does though.

i folded and the BB and OR got to showdown after 1 more barrell on the river

OR had AKo and BB had AJo

I play in these $5 2r1a and was v suprised to see everyone one wanted to fold – I know its a strong bet, but you cannot assume he knows how to size his bets until you have reads that show you this.

I would raise flop to isolate, but would expect fold tbh, if I got shoved on would call and expect to see fd or TPTK (normal at these stakes imo) – I dont believe sets or overs bet this big

Would consider small 4bet pre, just so didnt encourage others left to act to call…

(Honestly I was going to post this before I saw the results……!)

Yeah, it’s a 5.50…. I’m raising this flop every time. There’s more hand combos you have crushed than have you beat. There’s many “pretty” broadway hands that hes leading out with here, and with an overpaid you will get paid. I think at this level you lose so much value folding here. There’s nothing to assume he’d be deceptive with, you’re leveling yourselves if you think he’s pot-betting for value.

I'd 4bet pre for the reasons rIamanna gave. on the flop I'd put Yan-77region on  AJ/KJ thats scared of people drawing for the flush and therefor betting pot sized.
