A few questions: should i be 3 betting pre? i assume that i should habe bet the turn for value and to protect? and i assume that the river is a fold?

IMO calling and 3betting pre are both fine, however the way the hand is played out I would just fold the flop – no reason to be getting into large pot with 2nd pair first hand of tournament.
I dont hate the check on turn as it keaps pot under control especially as flush draw already got there – but yes i'd definately fold the river.
3betting AJo this early in the tournament in these positions is definitely a mistake. In an average tournament we are not going to be getting enough dominated hands/Aces to call. I am even hesitant to 3bet AKo here this deep.
We should be betting the turn as we are going to be called by alot of pair/combo draws/high clubs that we need to charge and not give a free river to hit their draw. I dont think a villain will be checking a made flush here and will be going for 3 streets of value every time.
As played I can sometimes find a river call as we have pretty close to the top of our bluff catching range and after villains check on the turn I believe him to not have a made flush. Some weak villains will valuebet worse 2pr here sometimes and given that its an $11 on 888 it is full of some rather weak villains.

If dominated hands aren't calling when you 3bet with AK, one of the following must be true:
1. Villain is folding much too often to your 3bet, in which case I'd still 3bet AK but I'd also 3bet a bunch of other stuff, your cards wouldn't even really matter; or
2. Villain has a really tight opening range.
(2) seems like it could be the case here, given the 4x open. I don't think you should default to not 3-betting AK early in a tournament, though, especially in late position, and there are plenty of deep-stacked situations where AJo is a fine 3-betting hand.

If V min-raises the HJ to 40, I like 3-betting AJo on the CO. Against the 4x open, though, I'd default to calling and could even see folding depending on just how strong you expect his range to be. On the first hand of the tournament you presumably don't have that read so I'd call.
The pot-sized bet on the flop is worrisome as well. You should generally be calling a c-bet when you flop this well, but you can and should fold more often to large c-bets than to small ones, and given that there are so many bad turn cards for your exact hand I could see just folding. I'd rather call with Ac J, QJs, Jd Td, etc.
Turn is pretty close, I think a smallish bet of like 40% pot may be best.
I'd fold river.

Wouldn't be a huge fan of a 3bet here unless we were very confident the villain was passive enough to call with a lot of worse hands. Think calling is fine.
Flop is weird…I generally wouldn't be folding to one bet here, and I think with it being the first hand of the tournament and us being completely readless, it's probably okay to call since a lot of guys on 888 are either going to mash the half-pot button or the full-pot button when they cbet, rather than choosing a betsize. We should be prepared to fold to most 2nd barrels, though.
I think the vast majority of random 888 villains are going to keep betting with anything that beats AJ on that turn, too, so I would definitely bet around half pot, for value and protection, since there are a lot of rivers (Qx, Tx, clubs) that can cause us to either lose our action or lose the pot.
As played, I fold river for sure.
