First thing is I'd be wary of putting too much faith in your HUD stats. They can be useful for sure but often the stats will be based on poor sample sizes or will be skewed because of what stage or tournament you have played them in before or the dynamics at the table etc. I use the numbers as a rough guide and will only really take them seriously if I have a large number of hands with them (as in 500+ at least), by which time I ought to have some sort of read on them anyway.

In this hand he could be defending with broadways or pocket pairs. He could be much wider than that of course but from his stack size it would be a mistake imo. When he leads out the turn for pot I think you are going to be behind here a lot of the time. If you do continue then you are likely playing for his stack and so I don't mind the fold at all. Putting villain on a range I'd say:

– could be a draw but it's hard to find one that fits here as I don't see him floating with a backdoor flush draw. The only other draws are gutshots and again would mean he floated the flop with little more than A high

– I don't think he is leading here with a single pair, KJ or KQ is possible with a gutshot but I still don't expect him to lead, and definitely not for pot

– he could have flatted on the flop with a set as it was a dry board and decided to bet out when a coordinated card hit

– he could have 2 pair here, and if so I would guess the 10 helped him given he suddenly decides to bet pot

– he could have QJ, floating with a gutshot and leading out strong with the nuts.

I don't think you are ahead here very often, you still have a decent stack so I fold.

I think your slightly behind his range here, but you might beat enough of his range enough of the time. Player reads would dictate my decision heavily here because it is so close. Read-less or not good read I’m folding.

To be completely honest I’am calling turn with the intention of calling river vs. most aggressive players if I smell even a hint of tom foolery.

The biggest reason I say this is because on top of everyone being full of shit if you add some hands to his range outside to the normal you are slightly ahead.

Reads are important!
