This happens alot through out the tourneys some guy is flat calling you then instantlys leads into the pot when they are way out of position from the sb or bb .  Def would like to see if you guys have any online tells when this occurs on a pretty blank board. Also how to handle that lead if you do flop a marginal hand on that board to protect it, so they do not catch up by the river. Sometimes I freeze up when they keep leading into me and i flat flat and then they hit runner runner or something like that. Thanks TPE Members and Pros!

Personally I almost always raise here whether I hit or not. If he flops a monster they are almost always going to go for a check call or check raise. They almost never lead so i like rasing when someone flats you oop and then leads flop.

I also notice more people flatting and donking OOP. I think calling them is kind of weak either we raise or fold …imo  unless we crush the board

Was it that necessary to make the title in all caps?

Some thoughts. The general consensus from tournament players is that leads are fos this however is not always the case. Some weak players do have the lead/call any pair/draws mentality. Also, successful midstakes cash game players have all worked leading into their game in specific spots e.g. villain pot controls more than he cbets. Since tournaments in general have weak fields it is still largely assumed by pros that leads are fos. knowing this means that you can exploit the MTT regs by leading and inducing bluff raises, which can be more +ev than c/c or c/r.

It depends on the marginal hand, your stack size, your opponent and the psr. In regards to the freezing up, it sounds like you are generally playing the hand in the most +ev manner ie as a bluff catcher. Unfortunately they will suck out on you from time to time. By playing a marginal hand more aggressively, often you make the hand easier to play, but are not playing it in the most +ev way.

conversly, if you are playing against a player as aggressive as bigdog, you should lead your monsters because it is so unorthodox and will confuse most players.

Do you think “donking” as a bluff into a profitable thinking player who thinks the same about you will be profitable?

Do you think a “donkbet” by a profitable thinking player is scary?
