Hello!

So this V is being pretty agressive pre flop, have seeing him playing a lot of hands, since we are deep, and have position I decided to call pre flop, Flop is pretty good I guess, and I decided to just call, and let V barrel of, but I guess T and R are not that good, hits his range pretty well, what is your line here? flop turn and river…

I don’t think that I would flat pf with A8o to an UTG+1 raise.. As played I’d fold to a pot sized river bet since we are loosing to pretty much any ace and any pp that he would play from early position. What do we beat here that would be in his range? KQ, 99 and maybe some smaller pp are the only hands I can think of, unless he is playing really loose from any position and 99 and smaller pairs seems pretty unlikely the way the hand played out.

I agree with folding preflop. I think the reasoning of being deep for making the call is flawed for two reason. Firstly, you are not that deep, the villain in the hand has a 40bb stack. Secondly A8o plays better shallow than deep. Hands that warrant calling lighter when deep are hands that give you a decent chance of realising your implied odds; suited aces, suited connectors, low pairs. These hit nutted hands postflop often enough to make calls in this sort of situation, it’s rare that A8o is going to do the same.

I like the line you took postflop. I fold river, villain has so much value in his range and its hard to find any bluffs that take this line.

Thanks for all replying it!

Just take a look at his HUD stats, this V is 50/45 (VPIP/PFR) over 145 hands, 18% 3bet pre. I don´t play with HUD but I knew this guy was really crazy.

Anyway I am thinking this was a bad call too, even with those stats.

Wow, wow, wow and wow.

I mean sorry but this last statement makes everything completely different.

But first things first.

Why the heck are you not using the HUD if you have one? Having a HUD and not using it is like being allowed to ride and E-bike at the Tour de France (you are french right? because of the R 🙂 ) and not using the electric power of it.

A HUD gives you more information and in a game of limited information more information is more power.

So assuming the stats are not from an FT bubble scenario we can safely say villain is nuts. Versus a player like this i am inclined to call way wider on the BTN and play postflop. Plus i am also 3betting way more frequent with good playable hands IP.

So this means i call here pre a lot and try to gii with 2p+.

Therefore raise flop.

I hate the HUD lol, everytime i use it I go to downswing, after the 4th time I never used it again when playing, sometimes I open, and just use number of bb lol, but there is a delay.

I am brazilian. What R you talking about? laugh

You said to raise flop here, what do you think V will call? I didn´t want to get his bluffs off the hand.

in the french deck the King is depickted with an R=roi

so its prob the same in portugese/brazilian

Overly aggressive opponents are felting with a lot of hands they should not do. Like Ax or draws on that flop.
