Still early so no reads. I prolly shouldve gone for pot control, but I thought I was missing value from an ace.

alarm bells would be going off in my head when you click it back on the turn and then villain flats. that says to me a pretty strong holding.

i agree

when we lead the turn and he raises us, i think he could have a lot of Ax's that floated the flop, some F draws that also floated the flop and also but less likely some K's that 'slow played' the flop

like benny says though, when we click back the turn and he flats us, he is strong. we are showing real strength here.

lastly – when he puts the rest of it in on the river i dont think we ever win

maybe we could call it a bit of a cooler – HU bvb losing 99BB's from our stack

guess the only thing we could do differently is check call the river, but then again he's probably jamming it in anyway being ~pot bet

a more passive and probably inferior play would be to bet call the turn instead of repopping it. the reason this is inferior we lose value from Ax's and flush draws so i actually like your play better

ul i say

yeah, i also think that it was just a set up. loosing the hand still left me with over 30bb to play with, but even if we were equal in chips i'd get it in.

I think once he 3bets the turn after flatting the flop I would just call and then check/call any river to get to showdown cheap.
