UTG had been limping all day!!
Villain stats: 30/10/4
Other Info: Villain had recently limped first in on button with 19xBB holding KJ and called a shove from Big Blind and sucked out hitting trip Jacks vs AK.
Had 3bet with premiums AA, AK, QQ, JJ etc
Had recently lost half his stack after he iso raised a LP limper from the Big Blind with AA, limper then flopped the nut straight with KJ.
Had raised on the flop (in position) with QJ (after he limped in PF from MP) on KJ5 and fired again on the Turn, check on the River and lost to K9
I didn't feel overly comfortable calling the raise on the flop…… but felt he could be doing this with hands like JT, plus all other Ten's, 2 pair, sets etc
First off, do you call the raise on the flop???
Call / fold to shove on Turn????

i think on that flop i would cbet a little bigger, there are plenty of draws that would semibluff with your sizing. tell me if you disagree, but i would bet more like 8-9k.
as played, do you think you are ahead on the flop? if so, i would be more inclined to jam here rather than calling villains rase. my reasoning is that there are plenty of cards that either make villains hand, kill the action, or allow him to bluff in position (any 6789TJQK are pretty bad cards for us)
on the turn, by checking it is a complete guessing game now. villain could still have hands like JT, 89, 78, T8, QJ etc that we beat but its pretty hard to know. i think the mistake was on the flop.

thinking about it a little more, i almost dont mind a check call on the flop either. yes, you are allowing the draws to get there cheap, but we have a hand that cant stand a lot of pressure and i dont think i would mind folding this if any of the draws complete. against all of the pair plus draw type hands that villain could have, we arent that far ahead, so maybe a pot control line could work here.
With the flop cbet….. I'd recently been watching some of Panda's videos and he seems to advocate on the smaller side of the cbet…. so I was using that during this session…… but, perhaps a bigger cbet is the go here….. not sure.
I'lll hold off with the results until others have a chance to reply etc….
It's a tricky sort of spot though…. with various lines/options to go down…..

yeah agree with that – your hand is pretty strong but that flop smashes villain's calling range and against most of it you are flipping.
Here are the results…… Pokerstove has me behind on both FLOP/TURN vs his range….. I should really have folded I think.
