I'm on the new table had like 14hands there, so not much info about our villains. In this hand I'm sitting with 25BB on the BigBlind with AKs , CO opens with 30BB his stats are 22/22 in 9 hands, SB 44BB stats 23/8  calls him. And here I am with AKs with 25BB on the Big blind, (clapping my hands, doing moonwalk etc. laugh) just kidding. Was really thinking how to get max value here just Jam it (looks weaker), or 3 bet and expect a shove from one of the pumpkins cool

Later I will post it, which line I have taken, and the result from opponents I got, was which I wanted. Just want to know what you guys do in these spots with 20-25-30BB.

I would probably make it something like 6k to go as it looks like a squeeze and if the original raiser has hands like KQ+ or AT+ etc then he may well elect to jam it feeling he has f/eq. All jamming does here is folds out hands you want to have shove on you and you only get called by either better hands or tied hands usually although someone could call with AJ+ maybe and some medium / high PPs. A shove is probably not terrible but I feel in the long run inducing an opponents shove will be more profitable.

I think its in Chris Moons videos that he talks about “how do we get the next worst hand to call” – How would you get value from AQ, AJ, KQ here?

I most likely just shove here because one of them may tank call with AQ because it is CO v button where ranges should be the widest and they put you on JJ or AQ etc and call.

I think it's unlikely that they reshove AQ here so IMO its best to just shove here and (1) hope they call with AQ (2) hope they have 78s and fold (3) call and your flipping with 99.

I don't think this can be a bad play but I would be interested to here peoples reasons for inducing a 4bet from AQ here.

Its not so much inducing a 4bet from AQ specifically but more about just giving your opponent the chance to take a punt at a sizeable pot with a weaker dominated hand. Basically, we want to give the oppponent opportunity to make a mistake. Most players will either jam/fold when faced with this squeeze, certainly at mid/high stakes I expect.

W/ 25bb's I'm shoving this all day.  I have to see all 5 cards.  I'm not going to 3bet to 6-7k and fold the flop to someones bet if I miss.  get it in and hope for the best.

I hate that. In low stake buy ins people are generally more passive so getting 2 callers here isn't that unlikely. I constantly 3bet, get two callers and I'm in a bloated Txx or Jxx flop, out of position, 3way with 1/4 of my stack commited. Life sucks in that spot.

Shoving is obviously never going to be bad here but when you shove you do get the “I've a pair flipping with AK” brigade calling you with their 55, 66, etc and you don't really want that in this spot either.

Personally I think the times you get people to make a play at the pot is worth running the risk of getting called in 2 spots. Also, quite often you will be heads up and win the pot with a c-bet or you hit the flop anyway.

With 20bbs I'm shoving it all day, 25bbs+ I start thinking more about 3 betting and trying to get value that way. It's probably close either way as to what is optimal though.
